@@EanDogonskiskate It was a Spitfire skate jam. Jimmy Wilkins and one of the guys who is blind, Dan Mancina . Foy was really nice though. And they shredded that place. Doubles on the vert ramp. I'm old AF now 44 so I skate kinda mellow but just to watch those guys kill it. Idk if you go to Modern but it's a great park and shop. We met Hosoi a few years ago there too. The demos are a must go if you can.

1:22:21 concerning Paris: Me and my brother were in Paris looking for the Ledge Jason Lee Kflip Backside 5050d in Video Days. This was 2010 and we heard the rumours that nobody bothered to speak English over there and that everybody was rude. Our school french was alright I guess, but it's such a difference when actually speaking to a native speaker.
Anyway, we were standing there looking at our map and obviously looked kinda lost. A dude with his wife/girlfriend noticed us and started talking to us. With perfect English (albeit with a french accent) he asked us: "hey guys, where are you going, can we help?" we chatted and showed him the spot on the map and he actually walked us there, wished us all the best and continued with his day. This happened twice that very day. Granted, we may have been lucky with the people we met, but they definitely left a good impression of Parisian mentality with us.
Another episode, another instance of becoming a huge fan of someone I hardly knew anything about
The way Vincent, Andy, and others talk about their Olympics experience sounds so much more interesting than that fans got to see on TV. There really should be a movie about it.

Dude, great episode, Vincent is super cool. The stories with Willy really hit home, Willy used to host go skate day BBQs and stuff at PQ skatepark. I was just a kid at the time so I wish I understood how much Willy really had done for the skate community. Hope WIlly can be on the show soon!

It's really difficult to become pro wherever you're from. The fact he was in a spot without concrete, another continent, where skating wasn't even really a thing and he persisted with the help of his family and now he's pro... iiiiiiit'ssss fuckin crazy! A real testament to what determination and a good family can do
Well it's not really true. He live in a really small town but 20 minutes away you have some amazing parks. Of course when you're young it's really far but after 15yo it's ok to go there. After Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon (3 of the biggest cities of France) he live in the best place for skate !

Vincent is from one of the regions in France where skateboarding is the most developed with amazing parks everywhere and a real surf/skate culture.

Great episode! Vincent is awesome. About insurance, I remember being in the ER once and a doctor spoke to me for 3 minutes. I got a bill from his association later on for $1500. Thankfully didn’t have to pay that.

@@jemiiam dude I started around ep 50 and back then they would send cool extra goodies if you ordered merch--I only bought a pack of nine 9-Club stickers for $9 and it came with an autographed polaroid of Grant Yansura holding the portrait that sits behind Crob. I wonder if they still do that randomly, and maybe I just got lucky, but I imagine they get too much business now to hook up everyone with a bonus like that.

Always wanted to hear Vincent talk. His skateboarding is so powerful an tough. But his contest skating is clutch he does alot of difficult tricks first try. Seeing that he's a mellow an chilled dude is wild. But that's why skateboarding I so cool. People are so badass but so cool

Vincent Milou was definitely my favourite skater to watch in the Olympics and had the best kit ( also rad skater in general ) . One thing though if you're skating forwards and pop a 180 when you land you AIN'T SWITCH STANCE you are going fakie so "FS 180 to FAKIE crook" not switch stance . You ain't saying kickflip to switch board on a rail , your saying kickflip to front lip which is bang on point . Speak the truth to da youth ! Peace
