I always take these AI character designs and redraw them myself their only good for ideas and I find it so laughable people on DA are putting watermarks on AI "art" like they made it
The AI bros really hate when you redraw the character designs, and I think it's hilarious, though it seems like I've ruffled the feathers of an ANTI AI person because she literally called a redrawn image an AI image (which was weird as I only redraw in my own style, and my style looks nothing like the run of the mill AI style), and before I could even respond, she'd already blocked me. Like huh???
i really hope more people adopt the practice of calling it ai images instead of ai art. i wrote an essay for my applied ethics final at my college about the ethics of ai images and i made an entire foreword explaining why it's not only wrong, but unethical and disingenuous to refer to it as art. your art is super adorable and i'm definitely subscribing

Ai is fun to use for reference or to mess around with, but not for these purposes of stealing art and posting is as your own. I wish the programs weren't in favor of AI art
I have become mutuals with some art prompters on Deviantart, they are really nice and open about it. They don't want credit for their designs and just want to be paid for the subscription and little time. Part of their TOS is that you HAVE to say that the design was made by ai and preferably by the ai they are using. Overall they don't mind people using the design for inspiration. What I don't like and what they don't like either is completely 1:1 using the design. The one's that do always have the reason that it's stolen from artist, so why steal it as well? Stealing from a thief is still theft
Suprisingly yes? So if you do traditional (its been years since ive done this) but you could put down a light wash of watercolor to paint in the shadow before sketching. that would also give you a bit of an overlay layer like in digital art because itll help unify the colors you put down after. I say watercolor because you can erase easier over watercolor than other paints. (I used to be a watercolor girlie before I went full traditional) I could be completely wrong, but Its definitely worth experimenting :D
You're quickly becoming a new fave youtuber! Been trying to absorb more long form content that I can easily have playing in the background of gaming or art! I'm excited to witness your journey 🫡

I'm not justifying the usage of AI, but an artist's workflow also consists of referencing multiple artists. especially if you're a beginner. The only instance It's considered copying is 1:1. Copying EACH every single line, shade, colour. That is plagiarism, that is copying. Traving, even. I'm not calling you out on your own opinion, though ! I'm just saying this as it came from experience of referencing multiple artists' work that I find on pinterest (and if you know pinterest.. well, those people don't credit artists much anymore.)
This is, in my opinion, what AI art should be used for. To help compile your ideas, and then you draw it yourself in your own styles. Artists have been copying others art for ages. Master studies- where artists copy piece for piece another artist’s drawing, tracing- ethically with permission and credit to get a better idea of how to draw a certain thing, and using references- both real and from other artists. Copying is, well, what are started out as and still is to this day. You copy the things you see, feel, hear, taste, and smell, and put them into works on your paper. Nothing is entirely original, and that’s part of the beauty of art.
Ai generated images looks "pretty" but your art is yummy and tastes like fresh mango icecream cone on a summer day after school and ai images tastes like a rotting mango witch has cockroches in it
the untold war of SamDoesArts and Kooleen might still be going... o well why am i even talkin about this anyways? o yeah to spread message they might [like] each other
I wouldn’t recommend promoting Sam does art He steals photos of girls on their Instagram accounts and doesn't credit them. Kinda ironic with this video being about theft
depending on the AI you're talking about. AI images and videos are definitely hated by the art community. Only due to the fact they pretty much just took everything publicly posted on social media without an easy option to opt out, even worse now with programs like Adobe actually going into your Adobe creative cloud account to use your private work for AI. Although the art generated by AI doesn't usually look like any of our art, it was still theft to a lot of artists. If it wasn't for that I think AI images as a tool is wonderful! They just crossed a boundary with us by taking our art. Hope that helps and thank you for asking! :)
You are the first artist I have seen who understands AI's utility and can see past the transgression. Like, I sympathize, I really do. But I also came to understand a similar issue a long time ago, and the simple fact is it's impossible to undo in real life. There's no Ctrl+Z for space time, and even if there was the billionaire class would already own whatever bits of it the government allowed. Generated images are here and they aren't going away. Something about genies and bottles. (I know you actually can get the genie back in the story, but AI has no ego to appeal to and it's listening to millions of voices and using up all the power capacity. I don't know if I should be happy crypto is now not the only thing generating excessive demand during the climate crisis or bothered, but that's a different story. If you want to survive AI, you have to understand it. That might mean understanding how it works, or understanding what it does well and where it fails. You have to understand the ecosystem. You have to understand that every bit of AI content was created by a person with intent. You have to ask how you can counter that intent. And you have to ask what AI can do for you. Modern medicine is built upon a metric fucton of moral abuses of the living and the dead. Are you going to give up health care? You look at content to learn and draw inspiration. Don't be picky about the source. Just make sure your AdBlock is on and working. AI art business is about collecting views and ad revenue, after all, just like the rest of AI content generation.
My only recommendation is to not trace it 1 to 1, instead use the Ai art to study and learn anatomy even though it might be off a little (especially with hands). If you trace it 1 to 1, then some of the aspects or assets will be messed up poorly and make it very obvious that you traced Ai if you were to post it without context. (Highly doubt anyone would post Ai artworks they traced, unless they’re extremely dumb.) And another thing, I would also suggest finding the original creator of that Ai piece(the one who got their artwork stolen), and at least put credit in the piece you are making somewhere as that technically does count as tracing the original artwork but with flaws if it is 1 to 1 tracing. (People might think Im soft for saying this but idc) As an artist myself, I personally agree that Ai art is wrong and it is stealing artworks and flawing them, HOWEVER we can use Ai art to study anatomy as well, Example the faces, normally the faces will be correct in anatomy, so however the artwork is stolen, does not mean we cannot learn to improve our selves with studying it. (Not saying to become the hand drawn Ai artist, but like to improve in style. If that makes sense.)
I just hate how they just steal art online and funneling into their ai
I always take these AI character designs and redraw them myself their only good for ideas and I find it so laughable people on DA are putting watermarks on AI "art" like they made it

I just found your channel your art is so adorable
My favorite is the 3rd one :3 Can't wait till you go live again!! :D 🫶
hopefully when I can afford a pc upgrade we'll be back to livestreaming :D
I think my fav is the last one
Ai generated images looks "pretty" but your art is yummy and tastes like fresh mango icecream cone on a summer day after school and ai images tastes like a rotting mango witch has cockroches in it
Ai thinks everyone loves anime.
We love if you get the tutorial please 🙏
Feel better soonn😋
THIS IS HOW AI SHOULD BE USED
the untold war of SamDoesArts and Kooleen might still be going... o well why am i even talkin about this anyways? o yeah to spread message they might [like] each other
Your style is so cute !!!!!
Basically pick on someone your own size, not use a sham of a moral crusade as an excuse to punch down at people.
oml your soooo good at drawing, your soo underrated!!!!💖 i subed ofc how can i not?!💕💕
I love this, i also did that, ai is so good to create oc or to give inspiratio
I wouldn’t recommend promoting Sam does art He steals photos of girls on their Instagram accounts and doesn't credit them. Kinda ironic with this video being about theft
Syilvion Pokémon colors!
Oh! 👀👀
Im subscribing to you i love your video and your voice and i like the way you describe things
Keep up the great work
I was feeling really shitty before I watched this, but this made me feel at least a little better. Thank you.
UNDERRATED
My question can sound a little stupid but why AI is that much hated ?
depending on the AI you're talking about. :)
how do you have under 900 subs ?? from the way i saw ur video i expected like 30-50k what super cute tho
LETS GOOOOO
I use AI for inspiration (when I use it😅)
You are the first artist I have seen who understands AI's utility and can see past the transgression.
Nah bro we cooked with AI, they can create nud e images with your head on them and even ruined a 18y/o reputation because of it 💀
My fav is the third one ❤ i love her overly puffy jacket and the colours!
What stops me from training a model on the art you showed in this video?
Hi umm I have something is is that my name is actually Athalie
Love your art but ur going a little overboard on the highlights tho lol
My only recommendation is to not trace it 1 to 1, instead use the Ai art to study and learn anatomy even though it might be off a little (especially with hands).
If you trace it 1 to 1, then some of the aspects or assets will be messed up poorly and make it very obvious that you traced Ai if you were to post it without context. (Highly doubt anyone would post Ai artworks they traced, unless they’re extremely dumb.)
And another thing, I would also suggest finding the original creator of that Ai piece(the one who got their artwork stolen), and at least put credit in the piece you are making somewhere as that technically does count as tracing the original artwork but with flaws if it is 1 to 1 tracing. (People might think Im soft for saying this but idc)
As an artist myself, I personally agree that Ai art is wrong and it is stealing artworks and flawing them, HOWEVER we can use Ai art to study anatomy as well, Example the faces, normally the faces will be correct in anatomy, so however the artwork is stolen, does not mean we cannot learn to improve our selves with studying it. (Not saying to become the hand drawn Ai artist, but like to improve in style. If that makes sense.)
Slay girl I love this
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
New sub, cool video
Yay
700th sub :>
