I present to you my latest collection of handmade costumes for 2022. And let me tell you, this was a good year. Or at least, that's what I thought before I started rating each one. Follow along as I critique my own creations and try to laugh off the mistakes I made along the way. If you're a fan of costume design or just enjoy watching a French girl make fun of herself, this video is for you.

I think I came in on the bolero wave because I follow Bernadette Banner, and have an interest in leather craft so the algorithm actually managed to get it right for once. I stay because you're entertaining on your own merit, and I like your reveals because the way you do them seems to carry the unique stamp of your personality.

The pocket song was one of the highlights of my year and occasionally attacks me out of nowhere with an earworm. Usually when I'm attaching increasingly bigger pockets to the dresses I'm sewing.
Your ‘reveals’ are the best. They are the perfect exclamation point to your videos (not just a full stop)!!!!

Oh yes, yes the pocket song deserves to be seen many times, it's amazing!!! Please keep doing the fun and special reveals. ( One UA-camr I follow always makes her reveals just 2 seconds long, in front of a very messy wardrobe and I get sooo frustrated. Most of your reveals I play multiple times. I want to see the sewing. The creative thought process. But after all that work you need to show it off, and why not make that fun.

The reveals are what make your channel unique from other sewing/crafting channels.
If your reveals are what keep you going when the project gets hard, or what allows you to fully express and explore your creativity, then you should do them. Your own enjoyment of your job (this) is not only valid, but paramount, whether anyone else appreciates it or not.
I make historical clothing for costumed talks in museums, schools, libraries, etc. Many times I've been asked to make 1910s/1920s clothing, but I have turned it down. I could have made lots of money, but I don't want to spend that much time making and wearing styles I don't like. I think many creators who try to follow the algorithm find their creativity drying up because they forget to do what makes them happy.

The reveals really set it apart from many other sewing youtubers. Please do what makes you happy because it is fun to watch.
Two things that set your channel apart in my opinion: the little french words you pepper in your videos in your sultry voice always make me laugh. And Les Reveals show that you do this for fun. Many times you explain that you had to redo this or that, that you didn't finish perfectly this detail because it would stay hidden and as much as I adore the perfection of some of the creators I watch, your way of doing things is a great reminder to keep enjoying doing the things you do in all the steps of the way.

I came from Bernadette Banner's channel, for the leather bolero, but I stayed for the Poches and I LOVE that reveal video. I looked for it on Tiktok and Instagram Reels for hours, hoping I could download it! Anyway, I am now a huge fan, and will be here for all the wonder of 2023😍
