Thank you for this in-depth demonstration of the differences in sound and ability of each type of harp. I am seriously considering getting one and since they're an expensive investment I have been doing a lot of research and your video is one of the best for giving a true side-by-side comparison. Thank you for taking the time to do this!
Definitely no disrespect to the harpsicle, it is great for what it is, and it really shone on that O Carolan piece, but man, when you shifted to the bigger harps on the first two tunes, their extra heft and strings just changed the entire feel of both pieces! The difference was even greater than I expected. I'm currently deciding what to get for a first harp, so this was a very useful video. I will have to think a little more now on where I am likely to want to "go" musically in the next few years, rather than assuming I can just modify pieces to whatever I have and that I'll like the resulting sound. Thanks so much!
Nice comparisons! I am about to get 34 string - so yeah I am sure the tension is different for each one. :) I learned to play harp and my teacher had a pedal - so I have played pedal but I found it difficult to play - so glad I prefer lever harp. ;)
You Never Can Tell (Chuck Berry) mashed with La Paloma by Sebastien Yradier, then Somewhere Over the Rainbow followed by the Castle of Dromore (Turlough O'Carolan). All arrangements are my own.
Also, I would be very interested in renting a harp to see if it is a good fit for me. I play the hammered dulcimer, but have become more and more interested in learning the harp. How would I go about contacting you for more information on rentals and lessons?

What an awesome demo. Thank you! Beautiful. I love the lever harp.
Nice to hear something aside from just the standard fare for harp.
Sounds really nice.

Thank you for the interesting video!
May I know what are the pieces that you've played? They sound lovely!

I have a limited number of local rentals that are currently in use, but very much recommend the Harpsicle harps!
God, you're a blessing ~
Are like all harpists hot or something??? Literally every single harpist I’ve seen is a total babe
