i am so jealous, i just had a haircut and i look like a total square. I asked the barber if he could do me a pompadour, he didn’t knew what a pompadour was, so i said “like Elvis Presley’s” then he said “Ah, a trim” i just had no choice because i was already sitting down on the barber’s chair. fucking Shrek, now i have to find another barber shop that actually knows what a pompadour is.

A $12 or $17 barber probably won’t know how. You will need to find at least a $20 or up barber.
This is a 3 year old comment so not sure if you're still into rockabilly hair but it's best to find a barber that specializes in eclectic styles or flat out 1950s and pinup. I have a salon by my house that solely does 1950s pinups for girls and does greaser style cuts for dudes. It's literally the only salon I go to now. I used to go to Supercuts and they would make me look like I was 10 when I'm pushing 30. When you grow up it's time to find a grown up barber too lol.

Great haircut, cool look but I'm almost getting dandruff and breaking out seeing the amount of product used to create and maintain it.
I agree, and people wondered why all the guys in the 60’s started balding in their late 20’s.
So the best product for this is a petroleum based pomade, I’ve been doing this since I was a freshman in high school and I’m 23 now, NEVER had dandruff. And I’ll be honest I sometimes go a couple of days without washing my hair, might just rinse and dry in between washes and even when you do wash it the pomade sort of stays in to an extent because if the petroleum (grease) base. BUT, the grease actually keeps your scalp hydrated I swear. And it locks in the good natural oils in your hair and keeps it looking and feeling pretty healthy not gunna lie. Sounds weird but try it and you will see. Never had any issues with dandruff and never had a female touch my hair and say it felt/looked/smelled dirty, on everything!

My problem is I'm a bit lazy. I go full beard and slick back my hair. If it gets too out of control I do a minor touch up I just hate cutting my hair.
Same. Shaved head, let the beard go until it gets untidy then shave it off and start all over again.
