This is amazing! the closest thing I have come to use a computer like a pegasus was building one out of the Redstone (wiring system) in Minecraft, basically a computer in a computer! What are your thoughts on how far they have come, did you ever expect computers to be this widespread in the 1960s?

Calculating the drag of ship shapes, and their metacentric heights was a major problem for mathematicians that drove advanced mathematics in Britain from the 17th century to the computer, then computers did it, and the mathematicians retired.
The Royal Navy computer-modelled ship shapes, fineness ratios, etc. first on paper, then on computers run by people, then electronic computers like this. Other countries were doing similar things at the time, driving advancement in computing.
Aircraft and nuclear weapons needed to be calculated, too.
Fortunately such advances also makes trading and cargo ships and aircraft faster and more efficient, but also drives the need to own (and deny) certain waterways.
