I only have 8k miles on my '21 Himmy, but can attest to its durability and comfort. I did buy the touring seat, which may be the stock seat on '22, I don't know, but rode 560 miles in a day, twice, and had absolutely no comfort issues. This coming from a guy who has 67k on an '08 Goldwing. Slower, yes. But the roads that you end up traveling, are SO much more interesting, and somehow my enjoyment is greater, with less technology. Who knew!
I've been to a number of dealers, and I think I share your sentiment. The owners have way more enthusiasm for the brand, than the sellers. Frustrating.
BTW, I own an Interceptor (INT650) as well. Super fun, but not nearly as many miles on it. The Himmy is just such a do-everything bike, I can't explain it.
    Keep up the good work!

I think you missed the boat being a brand ambassador for the Himalayan model at least. Itchy Boots in her epic trips lead to a lot of riders considering the Himalayan as a travel bike. She no longer rides the bike, having changed to a Honda 300 Rally, which needed about 3 attempts at getting the suspension sorted for carrying her minimal luggage load. I can tell you from my experience and from that of guys I have ridden with, very few European ADV bikes would go that distance without issues due to design or quality control issues. Those bikes commonly have fuel pump/ filter issues ( BMW/ KTM), suspension mount issues ( BMW), electrical component corrosion ( Triumph). They probably perform well if they are used on secondary roads in Europe, where fuel quality is good. That is what they were designed for.

I recently bought my Himalayan and have 800 miles on her. Did you modify your seat at all before this trip? I have been watching all your videos since the first for this trip! Epic! Thanks for sharing. Ride Safe

Greetings Harley, apologies for the months late reply, but I just wanted to thank you for watching & your comment -I really appreciate it!! I did not do any kind of seat modification, but I'd imagine an upgraded one would be really nice, especially for the long haul . And, very cool that you're ride'n a Himalayan too, I hope ya love her & much as I love ol Zeke!
