Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer." - Розваги
Jonathan Banks sitting there while Bob gives his speech looking totally uninterested and then not clapping is iconic. Already in character.
You can clearly see that Bob already knows his lines by heart, he barely reads the script… incredible performer
Yeah, but he´s the main character, and a producer on the show (meaning that he was given access to the script much earlier than all the other actors).
@Thawne Because it´s how it works in every single movie o TV show that has EVER been made..?? xDxD The main actors are usually cast MONTHS before the casting process for the secondary actors even begins.
@Thawne use your brain to understand how the world works instead of using it to conjure up childish arguments
@Thawne This is a retort that is beyond dumb. Are these the questions you ask during history or physics class?
@Thawne How would you know he wasn't there? You weren't there!
The start of the greatest prequel ever created
Hey Walt where do you buy your underwear?
Hey man, just wanted you to know. That guy, Hank has found out your secret. Do not bury the money move somewhere else with that Ed guy with your family to somewhere like New Hampshire or something. Or else the guys you told to kill those guys in prison will kill Hank, steal your money, and be forced to kill them and die. Tell Jesse to come with you. Then you could live another year. Just follow my rules.👍
Without a fucking doubt.

Greater than Star Trek: Enterprise?
The actor who plays Chuck is so fantastic. You really miss his presence and choices here even tho Peter Gould himself is playing him
Michael McKean was Lenny of "Lenny & Squiggy" from Laverne and Shirley days. . He's come a long way.
@@dennishuffstutler9820 Mr Green from clue is my favourite of his roles
Don't forget Spinal Tap!!
@@lizardchild2004 Lengendary Role!!
It’s crazy how Kim has ONE line in the pilot and turns out to become an important part of the story in the end.
Bob odenkirk has so much charisma.
Please please pleassssssssse give us more table reads, Chicanery, Bagman, Winner, Bad Choice Road, Wexler v. Goodman those are the ones I want to see
I want to see ALL of them
Pimento and Marco would also be great!
@@Rubberfooted Pimento would be so awesome to watch
Chicanery 👍 and not to mention pimento
God I hope they recorded a table read of Plan and Execution
These table reads are as entertaining as the show itself. It feels like telling a story around a campfire.
You can really here how sharp and articulate Hamlin's voice is when his actor talks in a regular speaking voice
Right?
Damn what the heck happend with hamelin💀💀💀
The one piece is reaalll
Hammering Hamlin
Peter Gould does such a great performance of Chuck here, it shows how clear their vision for their characters is
I'd watch every single table read for both shows, these are better than podcasts to me. I love hearing every narration detail and recalling how it got translated into the show. Scriptwriting is an art...
22:08 golden writing
I love how Odenkirk still looks like the sleazier Saul here
It's nice to see that Bob was really into Saul's character but not Jimmy yet. If you watch the actual episode, the first part is more Jimmy-ish and less Saul-ish than it seems here. The work he did to play three different characters in one (Jimmy, Saul and Gene) is amazing
Crazy that Kim only had one line in the entire first episode
Really earned her paycheck just sitting there for this table read
@@laserbeamlightning are you saying this because she’s is black?
two lines

Amazing how descriptive these screenplays are, they paint the whole picture.
This was almost like an audio drama, loved it
14:42 "th-the reveal. We missed the big reveal." XD
Bob is a good guy
A show so good even the table read is color-coordinated. Everybody else is in cool, muted colors while Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould just rocking those orange and pink shirts. 🤣
Wow this was really fascinating. I'm amazed at the level of detail in the stage directions. Having seen the episode and then listening to this is awesome
it's almost like a novel. would love to read through the whole series
I WANT TO SEE A TABLE READ WITH THE SALAMANCA BROTHERS!!
Thought this was a big uno game with the cast and was excited to watch.
Just rewatching the series for the first time...It's staggering...Odenkirk is a BEAST and Jonathan, the perfect counter point...It's sad it's ending soon; thank god for the internet so you can watch all these series at will...
0:31 oh no
The world had no idea that this moment was going to create the best show of the decade
Bob Odenkirk just gets into his character so much! Even through the read. Such an amazing actor!
6:34 Bob Odenkirk finishes the first scene with a distraught Gene and menacingly looked at Vince Gilligan: "what you did to my saul goodman" lol lol
6:35 man Bob was just as mesmerized as we were
It would be funny if it was a video of them playing UNO .
I was honestly expecting that for a moment.
*As they go through it, I’m just re-watching it in my head*
Woaaawww you listen to Bob Odenkirk, you close your eyes and you can see Jimmy/Saul making his stuff all the way!!!!!! amazing, the inflections of the voice are so powerfull!!!!!!!!
It'd be cool to see the skater twins one last time in season 6
I don’t think so
I think they’re the worst characters of BCS
@@eduardodestri7058 Damn ok
@@eduardodestri7058 nah they were hilarious douchebags
They were in season 5
if you go to 6:36 you can see him imagining it all, what a snapshot
Can't wait for the next season!
juan.
Did you like it?
Probably the best first episode of any show. Insane.
man this feel soo magical after watching whole season without any behind the scenes, I loved the show
As good as the episode!!!!!!! I love watching BCS's table reads. The reads are absolutely as inspiring as the show, you magnificent geniuses!
Where can i watch other episodes table read ??
@@danishraza-fu8gr You can search around by typing in ‘Better Call Saul table read’
Who's here after the finale?
This video is pure gold. The beginning of one of the greatest tv show. Miss BCS so much... cant wait
Can't wait till they shoot the episode. It'll be sick!
I cannot wait for season 6!
I was literally looking for breaking bad live reads the night before this was posted. Hell yea
Amazing show
The literal best prequel ever created
Peter Gould is surprisingly good as Chuck tbh
starting to like BCS more than BB
same
😳
Yeah
To bad it's the final season.
yeah
i just started watching s1... and this table read is PHENOMENONAL
Son lo maximo... La mejor serie
Kudus to the producers for releasing this
WE NEED MORE TABLE READING CONTENT!
Kim Wexler is a superstar ⭐
Bob is Saul in real life too
pleeeeeeeeeease give us more table read videos!!!!!
It’s amazing to see Rhea Seahorn barely get any like knowing how big she is to the show later on. I wonder if Vince Gil, Peter Gould, or even Rhea knew how big she would be later on. Did they always have it in mind that she would be a big part ?
Lines **
iirc they started writing and doing more with Kim because of Rhea's performances in season 1, not to mention she and Bob got along really well.
i mean her first scene is small but so symbolic in the long run, them smoking in silence kind of summarizes the essence of their relationship. i think they already knew her importance back then
In the Insider pod of bcs they said that they didn’t planned her to be a bigger character at first
I legit thought this was gonna be the cast playing Uno 💀
bob's acting is sooooo good
I'd love to see the table read for the scene where Saul negotiates with Tuco about the skaters. That shit must have been hilarious.
So, so, so, SO good!!
Priceless.
Bob is incredible!
I love vince's writing style in his screenplays. It's very engaging and evocative
Great tip: put the YT video sound on and watch the episode with sound off at the same time.
You'll be able to see how they translated every bit of the scenario on camera, it's amazing :)
Love how much Bob is like his final performance in the ep for these table reads. I really hope we get a table read special feature for the last ep, Saul Gone.
To the writers, actors and director 👏 👏 🙌
This is the moment Bob Odenkirk became Mike Ehrmantraut
Just watched the whole thing.. very amazing !!
just read your whole comment.. veery amazing !
I seriously hope they actually recorded every single table reading and those videos are just somewhere online waiting to be discovered.
I need to rewatch the whole show like this
This is amazing! You guys have more?😊
Foreshadowing is really great this show is beginning of the arthouse shows..
Amazing
Cast of excellence 🏆
I'm glad that this exists
I get emotional anytime I watch a footage featuring Patrick Fabian when he was still alive.
@Fax with Grizz You didn't get the joke.
@@a.m.studios6126 Fabian’s singular commitment to Gilligan’s vision was just astounding
its hamlin time
I was waiting for the deck of Uno cards to appear
This is art
I can’t believe it’s coming to an end nooooo
Ohhh Howard...Watching BB now and it's really hard seeing that lab now.
This is the momento zero became uno
4:18 That's a Jimmy McGill look right there!
Looks like he's hatching a plan and thinking of a way to drink $50 tequila shots for free.
Damn you and your thumbnail!
I need chicanery and bagmans table reads… like yesterday
If there’s any character that I cannot imagine anyone other than the actor who played it, it’s Saul Goodman/Bob Odenkirk………I cannot imagine any other actor playing it. He’s THE SAUL GOODMAN. No one can play the role other than Bob Odenkirk.
If someone else played him you would say the same about that actor.
@@chasejackson7248There probably wouldn’t be a Better Call Saul without Bob. The reason they made it is because he played the character so well.
It's interesting that in the garage scene, Kim just exits. She doesn't put the trash can back, like she does in the show. Cleaning up Jimmy's messes must have been an after-thought that became a major theme.
I can't wait for season 6!!
What did you think of it?
I would have loved to see a table read for chicanery it was for me the best episode in the show.
Agree, what a masterpiece Chicanery is
Its amazing how good Rhea Seehorn looks despite being 900 years old
History in the making
Bravo Peter Gould!
Bob is literally acting himself, so good at preaching.
I didn't know this much backend work is there for shoot
0:35, she is looking up to bob in such a loving way
????????
Can't believe it's over.
Rhea Seehorn looking fine in this video
She's unbelievable
The guy reading for Chuck has a very similar voice to Michael McKean funnily enough
He's the creator of BCS. He created the character of Saul Goodman in breaking bad.
Didn't know they started really soon after Breaking Bad ended
Less than a year later
Even the scripts alone would make a great story
And now Saul over, Bravo Vince 👏🏿
Jimmy could not have been Jimmy without that incredible accent.
Thus it began
Los amoooooo 😊😍😍😍
