I owned a 64 Falcon back in the late 60's. It was a loaded one with bucket seats and the whole works hardtop. Lots of fun to drive and I felt awesome owning it. It was the stock 260 V8. Put duals on it with glasspacks and chrome wheels and big tires on the back. Ah memories....... Niice car you have! Love it.
I had a stripped down 1967 Ford Falcon that I loved. I got 185 k miles out of the car before I traded it for a Torino. The falcon had a 289 cu in V8 and three on the column. I took very good care of it with 3500 mile oil and filter changes with a chassis lube. There was not that much to go wrong with it, the car was basic. I bought it as a Demo model with 5 k on it. I kept Michelin tires on the rims , use two sets of four in the 185k miles. I very much regretted trading it in, but my new wife was brutal on the clutch and trans. The car was basically a mustang stripped down. It had minimal chrome and flash. The two tone colors were done by good ole Earl Shibe with the $200 paint job. The car Was trouble free and good in the snow. Economy was 21 Mpg, On my daily ride. Around town 18 Mpg.on Regular gas. It was not an eye catcher, nor did I abuse it with Drag racing. I left that to all my metal head, gear jumping friends. The car sat 6 comfortably. Front and rear seat were the bench type.nothin out of the ordinarily special was done to it. I never git a ticket as the car was an invisible Sky Blue. I did install very good sound deadening carpets and kept then super clean. Smoking was never permitted inside the cab. A good car is merely dependable great transportation.
My wife had a 67. I wish we never sold it! Right after we sold it, a huge tree fell on it and totaled it. Maybe you will be able to find another one in the future. Cheers to you.
Fab car there sir. Love the memory montage with that WHO inspired song. Very cool. 2nd song with the keyboards and vocals... also very cool [B3 solo and arrangement that matched up with the riffing... very cool as well].

Believe the Pertronix need a full 12 volts for them to work properly, need to install a 12volt relay use the hot wire from the ignition to switch it....
I hear you. There is just something about a Falcon that meets your needs. My first Falcon was a 64 with a straight six. I love those six cylinders. They actually had some power! Cheers to you Doug.
NOT a Futura. Falcon Futura had many dress up items. Chrome along the sides, fancy dash, chrome around the door windows, fancy hub caps, the list goes on... This is a very clean base Falcon
I actually need to replace the exhaust. It is leaking and coming into the cab a bit. It's a set of Flowmasters with Stock exhaust manifolds. I would like to update the whole system but I am a bit of a low budget, semi retired guy now. Cheers to you.
@@GrandpaDanX10 I bought a new 65 Futura as my first new car when I worked at a Ford dealer in July 1965. Futuras had a chrome strip down the side and chrome trim around the windows. It was a factory 4 speed 289 and not a conversion like yours. I sure miss that car. I sold it when I went into the army in 1966
@@stephenpaul6858 thanks for the info. I didn't realize that. I think I will change the title description then. Just happy to have a Falcon period lol. Cheers for the education.

Thank you Robert, first video I ever made with edits. I just love the car and it has been fun tinkering with it. Cheers to you.
Loved the "long" shackles, LOL. We all did that in the early 80's with our worn-out 60's muscle cars ;)

Gorgeous 65. Sounds like my 64's suspension.
Yes indeed, I need to address that squeak. Old age will do that to you! 1964, "Old and Sore" but who could ask for more? Right? 😆

You are correct sir. When I made the video I was pretty ignorant of all the different models.
You are correct sir. I was pretty ignorant when I purchased it, didn't know the difference.
I was born August 19,1965
Great year to be born
Nice Falcon
great amateur video...the best kind!
There's something sexy about a woman shifting a stick shift.
Add 2 mabe 3 rear leaf springs and loose those nasty shackles and the car will look great
I totally agree. I am doing that for sure!
Nice! What headers/exhaust manifolds are you using?

Stock manifolds. Not sure what the exhaust is, I think they are Flowmasters. They sound ok.
Extended shackles will cause the car to not handle or ride correctly.
That is true. Looking to get new leaf springs soon.
AGUANTE BOCA
Not a futura
