Great review - I have the Dyson V8 Absolute. We like it and it's interesting how Dyson has improved it but at the same time, there's almost no compelling reason to upgrade from the V8. I was looking at the Levoit and it would be a bit of a downgrade but still an amazing product at its price range. My main gripe with the V8 is the battery which degrades and the worry that the cheap replacement batteries are fire hazards (even 1-2 reviews of setting the house on fire are a concern). On the other hand, Dyson is selling the official replacement battery for $140 with tax which is also absurd. I wish you could do a review of a battery that's safe and lasts long as apparently the cheap replacements also go out in 3-4 months.
Get this clear it does ''NOT STAND ON ITS OWN'' and it clearly says this in the Amazon description. This seems only to apply to E.U. countries due to safety regulations .
What kid of trails of debris did you want to see? Did you watch our cleaning results at 08:05 to see what it actually vacuumed up in our dirty house? We also sprinkle clips all throughout showing it vacuum up debris like rice, cereal, coffee grounds etc!

Does the beater bar hurt vinyl plank flooring ?
Has not hurt our vinyl plank flooring at all so I would say no!
Demonstrating a vacuum on a spotless house…. Not very helpful. Would have been nice to see it actually picking up trails of debris in real time
