    Dude you completely sold me on this one. I was looking for a Bowie with a nice wooden handle and almost bought the Gerber Winchester (because of the glorious name obviously) and had big second thoughts. After looking for a good review for knifes I stumbled upon your channel and I love your videos. I cancelled the Winchester and got the Undertaker instead and I'm having so much fun chopping with it! Thanks so much man! Greetings from Germany.

    Condor is so underrated. I think most "knife guys" just don't like them because they aren't "tactical". But they make some of the most quality fixed blades and machetes I have ever seen.

      @@DonnieBAllDay Steel snobs are hilarious. Spend hundreds on super steel knives that you will never put to hard use, and need to send to be professionally sharpened because the steel is so hard.
      I occasionally carry a small Western fixed blade that if it gets dull, I can give it a few swipes on my frickin' belt and it's sharp again.

    This Undertaker has been on my wish list for awhile now...
    .The sheaths are tight on purpose because they DO stretch. All my Bark River knives come like that..you have to wet the strap, and stretch it to get it to snap. If they don't do that, when they stretch, the knife will be loose and rattle around, if not fall out.

    Hey there Donnie , once again love the knife and the vids . One thing that drives me nuts is a great knife with a not so great hanndle , it is maddening to me . I watch alot of knife channels and along the way I learned a nice little knife hack that really takes care of just about any sub parr knife hanndle . Just go to any Walmart and go to the sporting goods section and get Wilson wrap , it is tape for tennis racquet , there are 2 kinds one that comes in a 3 pack and a single pack . The single pack has extra cusion , the 3 pack is no cusion . Here is a perfect video on youtube How to replace grip on tennis racquet by How to . I didnt realize the tape that is around the wrap is to be used to finish the wrap lol . It makes a huge difference , best hack 4 handles ever .

    • @DonnieBAllDay
      @DonnieBAllDay  5 років тому

      Tennis and golf wrap have been used for years. In the 70s and 80s its was commonly used on camp hatchets. I personally prefer athletic or hockey tape. It doesn't change the girth or ergonomics of what you're putting it on and adds exceptional grip.

Super bummed, mine isn't even that sharp! Just needed to vent bro. I will take it out and chop a god damn tree down to get out my frustration i guess lol. I contacted Condor and sent pics, hoping they will help me out in some way. I paid almost 50$ in shipping, youch!!!. I love in Montreal Quebec Canada, true north expensive and nothing is free. It really goes true north strong and free but taxes are a bitch here. Didn't get my fix with the Undertaker, going to order me a Skrama to fill the blade void.

    Hello again Donnie B !!
    I can’t wait to get this “ Undertaker “.... ( #1 on my next knife list )...
    I do have a quick question;
    I totally suck at knife sharpening!!
    I have like 4 types of sharpening stones ( systems ).
    Do you think I could use Bowie’s on a Lanskey Puck ?? ( does really well with my hatchets and Machetes).
    Should I even attempt using the puck to sharpen a Bowie ? If not - do you have any knife sharpening videos??
    Thanks bro !!
    PS - My G-Shock will arrive on Monday .( very excited)...

    • @DonnieBAllDay
      @DonnieBAllDay  5 років тому +1

      Any multi grit stone will work. There are so many ways to sharpen a blade that there isn't a right or wrong way. To hone, use a flat piece of leather.

    • @DonnieBAllDay
      @DonnieBAllDay  5 років тому +1

      One thing too is, if you feel your edge even begin to lose its sharpness, go over it lightly to bring it back. The more you dull it, the longer it takes to resharpen.

    • @DonnieBAllDay
      @DonnieBAllDay  3 роки тому +2

      It's really not so much about the brass and the wood but how it is attached. Without any gluing the sottering to the brass snaps pretty easily. I simply took off the scales and JB welded the base of the guard guard and the scales. No more rattling. There is none with the Condor either

(Like yours) The stock is now 4mm thick, not 5mm. The new Undertaker is 60 grams lighter than my original. The original one feels solid, the new one, I’m not sure about yet.
    They’re the same knife but very different. Quality control has slipped a bit too.

    Thanks for the review. If it had been out when I bought my Undertaker, about a year ago, I would've had the sense to get in contact with Condor over its obvious heat-treat issues and pretty bad quality control. I love the design but the cutting edge they put on it is also just too broad for me; it doesn't slice very well, though it's a mean chopper/hacker/fighter.
