There already are great Baphomet and Demogorgon mini's for 5e DnD in the collector's series line of mini's. They do come unpainted though. Currently own the Baphomet one, which was an exclusive mini for Descent into Avernus, and it's an excellent mini, really does the Horned King justice.

Surprised you didn't mention the Gale Force 9 Orcus Theo. I bought one a few months back and its spectacular!
I’ve had a lot of mixed results with GF9 products and so I haven’t purchased many of them myself. I may try to take a better look at them next year. -Theo

I'm all for these high CR minis they have been releasing. Super cool. Maybe they should work on dm tools to make tier 3 and 4 worth working towards.

I would be thrilled for them to do Bael the Archdevil of Minouras who serves under Mammoth. The Orcas mini does justice to his 5e art.
I know this video was a month ago and it’s awesome and Theo, you are joy to watch but....what I would love to see also included in this as “extra step” in the demon and arch devil is the elemental evil princes’ and princess. (Imix, Ogrémoch, Olhydra, Yan-C-Bin.) Thanks. Y’all are awesome!

I think one to go with Yeenoghu is his Crokek’Toeck that would be ginormous.
Even though I prefer the Collectors Series Orcus this is still an amazing mini.
Another great video!! I'm currently running Out of the Abyss and can't wait for this line to come out! I painted the Galeforce9 Demogorgon and it took me soooo long to finish it. It would be great to have the rest of the demon lords prepainted.

Orcus is not in Out of the Abyss.
He may be in one of the spin-off Adventurer's League Rage of Demons mini-adventure modules, I'm not sure of that.
But he's definitely not in the main OotA campaign module.
You get the art for him one one of the preambule pages in OotA along with all the other redesigned demon lords, but no encounter features him.
Man, Orcus would be an excellent addition to any collection. I don't know if I want to pre-order him now or wait to see when Yeenoghu pops. Might wait to see to if one of the local shops get one and buy from there.

Well, considering how vague they make the Dark Powers out to be, I'd be surprised if anything official ever came out in that regard. Though you can always repurpose other minis into your own version of the Dark Powers. -Theo

Only got around to watch this now... you sure are reviewing a lot of very large minis of late! :) Orcus looks epic. I am so glad Demon Lords and Archdevils will finally be something other than some super hard to pull Rare or Very Rare that goes for a 100$ on ebay (I still lack the old Aspect of Orcus or Demogorgon... and took me a lot of trading to get Lolth).
The wand I feel could have been better, more like the classic look of an enlarged skull and spine, this looks more like a magic wand and less something he can clobber people with as befitting his strength. But Wizkids is not to blame, they just followed the Rage of Demons adventure artwork. I like the rotten, decayed skull and the stitched/carved wounds on him, he looks proper Undead-like (even though Demons cannot really be Undead). The Icons mini might be much larger than this, but he looks more like an upscaled Balor with the more traditional demonic head. At any rate, can't wait to get this.
Would love to see them do a print of jublex the demon lord of slime. would be such a cool minature.

Would really like to see all of the main daemons and devils. But 80 bucks for a mini? No, I can't abide that price. Guess I'll admire from afar.
Yeah, these big showcase minis aren't cheap, I'm afraid. I'm hoping they do have less expensive unpainted versions one day at least! An do watch for sales from time to time.

I figured we were never going to get the demon lords so this summer I commissioned a Warhammer painter to do the Gale Force 9 Orcus, Baphomet, Yeenoghu and Demogorgons for me. Theyre beautiful and very high quality but had I known these were coming out i probably would have just settled and saved a few hundred bucks 💀
On that note, I'd want either a Zuggotmoy or Asmodeus mini next

Hey Theo, I was wondering from DM to DM here is there a certain type of monster you find yourself accidentally overusing a bit to much? I know when I was running a few of my Ravenloft campaigns I was guilty of it, and I know I have overused goblins and trolls a bit much. Of course this I'd love to hear anyone else's take on the subject as well! I played shortly in a campaign where a DM constantly through rust monsters at us, and as I play a melee character probably 85% of the time I kinda felt the dude had it out for me lol, I still hate those buggers over any other devious thing Gygax could fathom!
I'm mostly running prepublished adventures, so if I do use certain creatures too often, iI blame the module! :-D But I have been using the Hedge Bandit quite a lot in Humblewood! -Theo
@@TheGallantGoblin published modules are a wonderful thing , I always found I tweaked mine a bit just in case my players knew how a certain surprise would pan out and as a DM you never can be totally 100% sure how your players will react to all their choices ( this coming from the guy that caused his DM to have PTSD from wanting to reunite Tatiana with Strand lol).
I think it's obvious someone really really likes running Gnolls at WizKids!

One question.
Whens the unpainted Deep Cuts version going to be available?
No announcement on that front. My guess is that we wouldn't see one until 2022 at the earliest, but I have no insider knowledge about it at all. Not sure if unpainted versions are even in the cards at this point. -Theo

Bought one of the Original Orcus "Mnis" for my old DM when it came out.
It was the same size as the Blue, Black and White Dragons.
Theo how big is this guy compared to the Old Black Dragon (I'm pretty sure you have one of those, right?)?

We’ve had two Demogorgons and an aspect of Demogorgon. I think they’ll wait a bit further before we see him. I’d personally love to get a Yeenoghu or Zuggtmoy.

I know there was one by Gale Force Nine, but I'd like to see one from Wizkids along the lines dragon minis they're doing (or better yet the Orcus Prince of Undeath figure from 4e).
p.s. We've gotten multiple Orcus minis prior to this, so I don't think there being a couple Demogorgon figures already is a solid argument for them deciding against making one.

cool mini , would love to have , but tbh 80 bucks is a bit overpriced for a toy at the end of the day, wizards should really remember that , just because you make a mini gargantuan , it does not mean it should cost more than 40$ ... its a toy ...

Zuggotmoy is female. Yeenoghu is male but making him female in your games is 10x more interesting and more true to Hyena biology. Malcanthet, the queen of succubi, is also female but iirc doesn't have anything written for her in 5e so it's unlikely she gets a mini. Your last hope is Grazzt having a huge/large mini (he's humanoid sized) with women/succubi fawning all over him 🤣
Theo, really like your videos, but where in the world do you get your pronunciation from? You say almost every name differently than I have heard anyone pronounce in over 40 years of playing D&D. Keep being funny.
Ha! For the 5e stuff I use the pronunciation guide on DndBeyond. For the older stuff I'm generally just winging it. :-P -Theo

I hate to be the guy, I do thoroughly enjoy your videos! But.....”arc” is pronounced “ark” in English. An “arch” is like an archer.....it isn’t also pronounced “ark”.
I'm not sure why archangel and archdevil would be pronounced differently since they same have the same Greek root word, to my knowledge. Though this is not my area of expertise, of course. -Theo
Hmmm, I see your point. On the arch as archer side, arch-villain, archbishop, arch enemy, arch nemesis, etc. it sounds like people do both ark and arch, kind of Willy nilly!
I've seen some conjecture that the oldest "arch" words retain their original hard /k/ sound, while ones that were coined more recently have moved toward the soft /ch/ sound. But I have no idea myself. -Theo
This is a 9:30 minute video for 3:30 minutes of actual content. That's 6 minutes of ads and other cruft.

We do try to put the ads at the end of the video so that you can jump in, get the content you want, and then jump out when you're satisfied.
