Your best bet going south in Virginia to get from 81 to I-95 to get to Florida! From I-81 the the exit for I-66. in. about 25 miles you'll see the exit for South 17 because it's all parkway all the way down to I-95!
Nice authentic vid! Enjoyed the narrative along with the vid of your stops especially the way you showed the charging stations not too over crowded! I think I’ll charge a bit over like you did toward the beginning of the trip just to ensure I’ll make it to each destination w/o any worries! Planning on a NY to FL trip in July w/ my new LR which I love btw ✌️
Thank you! Appreciate your feedback...Yes that is a great way to start your trip and you will eventually charge to where your comfort zone is. Like I always wanted to reach my next SC with atleast 20% charge left even though I was there with about 16% left at most times. You will love your trip to FL from NY. Drive Safe!
Love the vid and the regular updates along the way. I did this same trip last year in my PHEV Prius Prime from Toronto To Wytheville Virginia in 1 tank of Gas.
Man I must tell you, You are great. you are attention to details. This video is super super super helpful .. Thank you so much for all your effort to making a video
That’s some great info! Thanks for sharing. With crazy gas prices must think about owning a Tesla. I like how it plans super charge stops on route itself
Thank you for sharing all of this Amer. Respect for the effort required. I have been debating pulling the trigger on a model 3 long range my self out in Calgary.
Same here and after doing those trips I can travel with a lot more comfort now without any range anxiety. One of the best EV I have driven. Drive safe!
Haven’t watched yet, But I am shortly planning a road trip to Texas from where I live and it’s going to be around 1360 miles, this is awesome because it’s virtually the same length as this video’s trip, and I’ll get an idea of what to expect from my first road trip, on my Tesla model three.
That was interesting to see. Btw in 26 hrs was it a one overnight stop? If so, that's a lot of driving per day.. like 12-13 hrs each day. You did look tired in the video..
Thank you! Yes one overnight stop. I am used to driving that much so didn't feel that much driving fatigue. The best part about Tesla is that it kinda forces you to take a break every 3 hours to charge it which gives enough time to stretch my legs. I think I would probably be more tired in an ICE car than I was in Tesla.
@@AmerSheikh probably just a bit more. I have a Subaru with eyesight engaged with the adaptive cruise control on the same trip. I did this trip 10 years ago and I was exhausted even with an overnight stop. (Eyesight technology wasn’t Available back then) With adaptive cruise control, we did not stop overnight but just took a 2 hour catnap between 2 drivers. It saved me so much energy! I can only imagine autopilot and especially an FSD car! Good informative video ty.
@@patmer2087 Thank you...Subaru has always had very interesting technology. 2 hours catnap I wouldn't be able to survive with that. I need 8 hours proper sleep to be back on the road.
The video wasn't terrible. It's the typical origin language to English translation volume increase that happens to all. I show my friends videos like this so they can lower their voice while speaking.
That was great. I have been hesitant to get an EV with concerns about long trips. But you showed it is possible. My fear is still pulling up to a charging location and having all the chargers in use. So not only would I have to wait while my car charges, I would have to wait for those in front of me. You never came close to having that issue though. And, now you have me consider the auto pilot option. Or maybe that is not the same as self driving. I do not really want that option.
Thank you...I was hesitant too but not anymore after this trip. I heard about the same too that there are line ups but no matter how busy it was I always got 1 spot available to use. Even in the busiest parts of Orlando there was always a spot available. The Auto Pilot is different from th FSD (Full Self Driving) I didn't want to pay and get the Full Self Driving as they are still improving on that feature. Plus the Auto Pilot does everything I need in a car. You should really consider one if you were thinking about it. You won't regret it! 🙂
More than the price I had a huge range anxiety when I was looking into purchasing one along with how will I charge at superchargers while traveling. But after doing this trip I can say I could have managed with a Model Y as well.
Tesla recommends charging to 90% unless I am traveling. Even when traveling anything over 80% charge takes a little longer so unless it's needed to reach the next Supercharger I don't charge it to 90%.

Thank you… that is really impressive to do 1000kms on a gas tank! Hopefully the future EV’s will be the same.
Love this! Very informative

Thank you ❤️
I am renting a model 3 Tesla to drive to Washington DC from Toronto and this video would be a great help. Thank you!
You are welcome. I am. glad this helped. Enjoy your trip!
Wohoooooo. Thats a fun trip and very informative 👍🏼
Thank you 😍

You are welcome. I was debating too but I had a great time driving to Florida and back. Coming back I came from NY and plenty of superchargers there.
I love Tesla road trips. I've done a couple in my 2022 Model 3 Long Range. Two of the most relaxing and easiest road trips I've taken.
Same here and after doing those trips I can travel with a lot more comfort now without any range anxiety. One of the best EV I have driven. Drive safe!
Great practical review!! Thanks
Thank you!
I found this very informative. Thank you for sharing this.

Great video ! Would you do the same trip with a standard range?
Thanks! I think the standard range with the new battery I should be able to do a trip. I would think maybe 1 or 2 extra stops to recharge the battery.

Just for further reference : 113 km/h is 70 mph, 120 Km/h is 75 mph.
Nice trip you had !

Great trip 😊
Thank you 😊
Just ordered a white RWD M3….looking at that red makes me think about changing my order…I just don’t want to pay for it. 😂
Congrats! You will love the Red Tesla go for it. But I agree the price for the colour is a bit too much.

With a wife and son, why did you buy the model 3 vs the model y. Obviously aside from the $10kish price difference.
More than the price I had a huge range anxiety when I was looking into purchasing one along with how will I charge at superchargers while traveling. But after doing this trip I can say I could have managed with a Model Y as well.
Whole video was just charging and charging you need to do long travels only with gas vehicle
Why do you only charge to 90% not 100% at night
Tesla recommends charging to 90% unless I am traveling. Even when traveling anything over 80% charge takes a little longer so unless it's needed to reach the next Supercharger I don't charge it to 90%.
Thanks for the reply
