Cool stuff, would love to be this knowledgeable about amps. Your playing is another level to the vid because if I like it and want to learn it, it's old school learning, ear only.
Hey I hope you don’t mind an off topic question. My old twin obviously has reverb but my similar vintage bantam bass amp does not. Google says retrofitting can be done in some cases. Would you happen to know if it’s doable on that amp? I had the head out years ago and I think I remember it not being real cluttered.
Since matched tubes are readily available, i just convert the bias balance pot to a straight bias control. Really just a matter of reconfiguring the pot connections and existing components and if need be manipulating the divider that goes to to ground accordingly to get to the proper bias range.
Your knowledge and attention to detail are amazing!! Thanks for sharing with us
Thanks again for sharing your wisdom, Lyle.
Your videos are entertainment for us amp nerds too.

Though fewer people watch those. I try not to be offended.

You are seeing things 🙂
No XLR. Are you thinking of the courtesy power outlet?
@@PsionicAudio Or maybe the big housing on the Amphenol phone plug on the end of your speaker cable made him think it was an XLR? idk.
@@PsionicAudio probably
First thing I would have done was investigate the root-cause of the red-plating.
I did
