Government of India has an outstsnding debt of 180 lakh crore plus it is running a deficit butget. Government needs huge money to run freebies, direct benefit transfer schemes, social schemes. Only way to get the money to run such schemes is tax the 7 - 8 crore income tax payers, equity investors to extract every rupee. Without huge income tax collection the government can not distribute revadies and win elections.
