Lawn is on fye🔥 Pete. It's gonna fill in in no time. Thanks again for hanging out with us (The We Workin Team) as we discussed renovations. Your gonna see that test plot from the moon. God Bless 🙏🏾
i planted a big area in my backyard on labor day weekend, i waited about 4 weeks before mowing, its KBG, and some fescue, after waiting 4 weeks ive now mowed it every week since, it has thickened up every week after each mow
Wow Brother Pete that Baseball ⚾️ field will be ready to play on sooner than later. It’s looking good God Bless You and Your Family have a great weekend.
I kinda like the saying I think John Perry said a while back - "Your lawn is not a lab! It's grass." Considering all the trials and tribulations you've dealt with on the renovation, it looks awesome Pete! 🔥👊🏼
Pete, when I mow I take off the length of pencil tip. Mowing every other day to accomplish this. Mowing today (Saturday). If you think it looks good now just wait. It takes a good two years to mature. Looking forward for updates. YOU HAVE THE NORTHERN FEVER!!!
After spring growth, no doubt gonna be the best lookin KBG lawn in the nation!! Wait till you have the years of leveling that Connor Ward has had then the neighbors will start golfing in your yard. Jeez man your hard work shows.
Looks great Pete, you show always that passion and hard work you can accomplish your goals. Well done sit back have a cold one and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
"I think people get too wrapped up in trying to be too technical with this stuff... it's just grass, it's not rocket science" LOL says the man himself!
Pete, it takes longer for Kentucky Blue! Last year it took 7 days was unusual. It takes three weeks in Michigan just for it to sprout. It is true Mother Nature with a long soaking rain, not to heavy. My grass grows the best. Have a sprinkler system but rain really helps
I can agree it has taken forever this year for me also, last year was 17 days and i had laying over turf..this year im 30 days deep and yard just isnt wanting to make a move..lower temps will hopefully bring better germination
I love watching and listening to you Pete. God bless. I still stick with my name I commented on the other video. “Reel Faith Field” I could listen to these videos as a pod cast lol. Crazy how beautiful it has come out so fast!
Keep pumping nitrogen to it. Nitrogen, nitrogen, nitrogen. 7/8” height is way to go when maintaining and when you start using PGR’s it’s going to be spectacular! Blessings to you and your families
Awesome transition Pete! I have kept my tall fescue at 4 inches, all summer. I have 1 year old sod on terrible clay soil. I bought your cool season grass liquid package. Along with some other ferts, the grass is the best in the neighbor maybe the city. Helps mowing with a 48 inch walk behind toro with an amazing striping kit. My question is, would you leave it alone and not aerate this fall if it’s doing so well?
They can be expensive but see if you can rent/borrow a soil compaction tester. If it’s doing well I would tend to leave it alone though. Just keep up with the biostems
Hope you have great luck in the summer heat. My elite KBG fries each summer even with enough water. Sun bakes it to death. You'll notice it will check out alot faster than your TTTF. I'm sure you already know that. I'm in the northeast and summer here doesn't get as hot as what you get down south.
Hey Pete. Love the videos. There's something satisfying watching those stripes come in. So what do you mean by spoon feeding? I recently moved into a house where they didn't take care of the yard so instead of doing a complete tear down and renovation I'm giving it a try by dethatching, aerating and overseeding as well as the basic fertilization. Thanks for any information!
Louisiana is as far south that I know it will do well but I do have a few folks in Texas who planted it this fall. Time will tell next summer if it will work
New to lawn care and growing grass. Really confused on how to pick the correct fertilizer. How do you know exactly what fertilizer will do what you need compared to another fertilizer?
Its looking awsome brother! I have overseed 3 times this year, and those ugly moths are flying around while I cut again so Bifen time ...... Even after laying down a granular. I just keep Plugin along 😆! At the end of the day its just grass, but I like it looking good, and it will haha! God Bless!!
Love this! I need to reseed in spring an area for maybe blue grass. Here in north GA and it’s a slope that warm season turf (previous owner had zoysia) is not taking. Water run off is there. Any tips?
Pete, great video....My ? What are you using for a reel mower. Please share that info thanks. You always are a trendsetter with landscaping equipment. Giving you your flowers bro. God bless
As a guy who grows and maintains a KBG monostand at 3/4” you look to be on easy street now. IMO there is no need to reseed basket ball sized areas. I have left far larger areas bare/sparse and during the prime growing seasons for cool season grass they fill in just fine.. my guess is in a month they will be barely visible and two months they’ll be gone.
I just finished a major renovation of a 6000 square foot section of my front yard. I seeded a section of it with Kentucky 31 tall fescue and it’s growing nicely. The larger section has a few very wet/puddles that just don’t want to go away but I seeded anyway to get grass growing where I can. Other than adding more topsoil to those areas I can’t figure out why it is taking so long for the water to go away. Any ideas
@@davidredmon3352 The company name is Eretz. I googled what type of grass seed works best for nj and that by far was what was recommended. It’s a certified seed as well
Ha, that's what I say, its grass, not rocket science
Agreed 100%
Joe Biden would change that a little... "Its grass, not rocket surgery".
@@johnevans6053 Why'd you get political on a lawn care video?
Won't be long till you hear - "Play Ball" coming from this spot. Great job, Pete.
Looks great Pete. Those stripes are to die for. I don’t think I’ll ever mow that low.
Great looking KBG and an awesome shirt to go along with it
Pete you wearing a Hodge Twins Shirt? Twin muscle workout. Yeeeeaaaaa!!
Lawn is on fye🔥 Pete. It's gonna fill in in no time. Thanks again for hanging out with us (The We Workin Team) as we discussed renovations. Your gonna see that test plot from the moon. God Bless 🙏🏾
Nothing like first mow feeling. Looking good Pete.
Looking good Pete. Still got ur back. Your videos have really helped me. Thank you for sharing such great knowledge.

Looking good out there Pete👍🏾! It will be filled in in no time with the mowing and spoon feeding frequency. We Workin'💪🏾🌱!!!
That mower is MASSIVE! I love it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow Brother Pete that Baseball ⚾️ field will be ready to play on sooner than later. It’s looking good God Bless You and Your Family have a great weekend.
Looks great! I love when I can keep my yard under an inch.

Looks awesome, Pete! Speaking from experience, if you keep feeding and mowing it, that KBG is going to come out screaming in the spring time
I love watching and listening to you Pete. God bless. I still stick with my name I commented on the other video. “Reel Faith Field” I could listen to these videos as a pod cast lol. Crazy how beautiful it has come out so fast!
KBG takes at least a month to start coming up and filling out. Looks good
Looking forward to seeing the move that bus renovation video! 😜

Yes, leave it alone aerating is usually a waste unless your lawn is garbage.
@@shanew7361 thanks man. I always seem to think I can always make it a little better. Needed someone to say leave it alone!

Those KBG stripes are fire. That would be a prime soccer pitch. Could you spoon feed your Protene with the 5 0 5 to get it really running?
Stripes are on point! I can't wait to see what it looks like in the coming months
👍👍👍 Persistence paying off.Nuff said...

I'm ready to see some stellar mowing patterns! Maybe some opposing arcs?
Looking great. Been waiting for this video forever. You picked a name for the field yet?
Bluegrass is looking good Pete.
JW here, great meeting you the other day.. looking good.
What happened? It is all over but, the crying? Sending prayers! God speed Pete!
Hello Sir, I live in Central Texas. I love that blue grass you put down. Do you think I can have a cool season grass in a warm season area? Thank you
Louisiana is as far south that I know it will do well but I do have a few folks in Texas who planted it this fall. Time will tell next summer if it will work

Dang that's a nice mower

I’m waiting for you to mow it like a sun with rays
Hey Pete, are you using the new smart irrigation yet? If so how do you like it?
Looks really nice. Your hard work to level that area is really paying off now. Love that reel mower…can you share the brand and width of cut?
Hey can you do an update on the Irrigreen system?
It looks amazing thank you for the knowledge and the content
What mower is that? Is that a 30” swath?
Hey Pete do you drop your cut hight on your fescue side of your lawn from 4 to 3 for the winter?
Looking good brother. 👍 My theme song yeah baby yeah.
Thank you! Great channel.
Nice yard
Pete, great video....My ? What are you using for a reel mower. Please share that info thanks. You always are a trendsetter with landscaping equipment. Giving you your flowers bro. God bless
Looks like an Allett reel mower. They cost like 10k new.
Hey Pete! Wondering if you ever gave away your small allet?
Did you kill your TTTF grass? Please let me know why you decided to kill the TTTF. Thank you.
:) the best lawn in the U.S.A
Woo that grass
You really have the grass looking like artificial
What mower is that?
When i do my first mow, a lot of times the wheels push the grass down and it causes issues. Any way to solve this? Maybe use a manual mower?
Looks great Pete!
Whoahhhhhhhhhh. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good morning sir!

I'm just questioning the type of grass seed you chose to reseed with? KY 31 is relatively inexpensive but usually isn't used for lawn renovations.
@@davidredmon3352 The company name is Eretz. I googled what type of grass seed works best for nj and that by far was what was recommended. It’s a certified seed as well
Didn't you just hydroseed it? You are already mowing it? Never seen bluegrass come up this quick.
Good advice!
why aren't you collecting the grass
As you already know, bluegrass pops and then stalls. Then all of the sudden it starts filling in.

Hey Pete I noticed Hodgetwins tshirt LOL XD
