This one not only packs a punch instrumentally, it packs one lyrically. The message is as deep and relevant now as it was when it came out. When it came out, it blew people away.
When this song came on MTV I stopped everything to watch. It was so good to hear such a great rock song with those vocals drums and guitars.

“Love rears its ugly head”, was the big hit on my side of the pond. Fun fact, most people here have never heard or don’t remember “the cult of personality”, as it did not do very well in the UK charts, perhaps a bit too heavy for our taste over here. The UK hit “Love rears its ugly head” although it’s played in a different style, I’m pretty sure you’ll like it and is well worth a reaction.

I saw them open for the Rolling Stones in Atlanta & they were amazing. Totally got why the Stones took them on tour with them. They were so great live.

I remember watching the music video for this song on MTV in 1989. The song was a very good one, and the music video was very entertaining. To myself, the guitar solo came across to me as complex and sophisticated. I have come to appreciate it more as the years have gone by, as an expression of chaos in an organized way. That is not an easy thing to do in a guitar solo.

I saw them open for the Stones; phenomenal! Agree that this is one of the top 10 rock songs ever. The lyrics are amazing, the drums are on point, and that guitar solo is out of this world.
