@@SGTWinchester85 if you don’t know anything about wrestling why make proclamations like you do? Johnson had already been at the top of the card for 4 years, headlining pay per views and holding the belt multiple times. He was already filming scorpion king and becoming a mainstream star by the time they bought wcw. Unreal….

Sonnen could of made big money in a short period of time if he came over to WWE he would easily be a big star with his mic skills that are awesome the man knows what's entertaining. If Ronda can do it Sonnen would of been exception. Come on Buff you wernt a big star in WCW you wasn't WCW Heavyweight Champion , you were Steiners sidekick or hanging onto Luger The Rock was the youngest WWF champion a mainstream maineventer

stop. I was in 9th, and he was a funny low card heel, but he wasn't even close to the rock, let alone stone cold. Maybe his late 99 stock was somewhere in the vicinity of the early, early 98 rock, but even then. Buff was a clown. Although I still liked him haha.

@@hw5091 yes that’s absurd of course. Buff was fairly over and had more charisma than most in wcw though. Of course in those days everyone was over in wwe… Buff would be more over than Steve Blackman, but he wasn’t really even as over as say… road dog and Gunn, or even the Godfather.

    • @hw5091

@@datacipher well, billy gunn had an over issue, kind of similar to buff. But buff was more of a road dogg all together. I think if buff goes to the wwf in around early 99, he would've done quite well. Probably been in the hall of fame by now haha. Winds were already changing in late 01, and he was a wcw contract guy, instead of a guy who jumped ship, as if he was a wanted commodity. Circumstances rules all in most cases.

Buff had a target on his back for several reasons. wwf or wwe knew they were gonna drop him at least a month or two prior to his release. He got thrown under the bus by his coworkers and he was the main event bc they wanted to use him as much as possible knowing they were not gonna resign him. They made an example of him to the other wcw talent plus the pill abuse didn’t help. Vince McMahon is evil and disloyal. His release was in the making. Vince only bought wcw for the licensing rights and so NO one else could buy it. Vince is a rat terd. The wwe sucks. Today’s clean, pg wrestlers and poor writing leads to the lowest ratings ever.
