    Lebron is such a respectful, modest, and extremely talented person who is already becoming a living legend, no matter what team you go for we should all be happy to to alive in the "Lebron Era" (or even the "Lebron & Kobe Era") to watch the amazing basketball take place.

  • @yckim17
    @yckim17 Рік тому +1

    This was honestly too forced by the media to be a rivalry. That’s why it didn’t last long. By 2009, Kobe had 3 championships, 1 MVP and proved he was the best skilled player in the league 2006-2009 run. LeBron went to the finals in 2007 but was nowhere near Kobe in terms of killer instinct at that time. Magic and Larry came in together and met in the Finals countless times. This “rivalry” doesn’t make any sense to me. Even now.

    • @petergriffin1689

      @@goatbrook1068 There is literally videos showing his teammates, including the big man Steven Adams, boxing out for Russ to come in and take the rebound and initiate the fast break. It was part of their strategy as a team but it also helped "stat pad" Russell's rebounding numbers. Nonetheless it is impressive as hell what Russ did, but it is not hate to say Russell did indeed stat pad compared to Oscar.

    • @goatbrook1068
      @goatbrook1068 4 роки тому

      @@petergriffin1689 ah yes, because you've seen oscar robertson every single game get lots of rebounds. Stfu lmao you wouldn't know that, plus the reason he even stat pads in the first place was to carry the fastbreak and to get easy buckets. That's why he was always top 5 in fastbreak points.

    • @petergriffin1689
      @petergriffin1689 4 роки тому

      @@goatbrook1068 lol look at you getting mad over youtube. It ain't that serious dude. You literally just repeated what I already said about the Thunder's strategy of allowing Russ to stat pad rebounds so he could initiate the fast break. In Oscars era, if the scorer took a step after receiving the pass the assist didn't count. Made it much tougher to actually rack up assists. Also he was averaging 10 rebounds during an era when the big men DOMINATED the paint. Clearly you are ignorant about Oscar and are projecting your ignorance onto me. You can simply go watch old games on youtube of Oscar playing and see for yourself that the big men on his team did not implement a strategy to box out everyone in the paint so that Oscar could come swoop in for the rebound.

  • @professorlip

    I love how humble Magic always is. He's talking about averaging a triple double for a season and doesn't even bring up that he has gotten closer than any other player in NBA history since Big O.
    In '82 he averaged 18.6ppg 9.6rpg 9.5apg in just 38 mpg. Then in '83 he avg. 16.8ppg 8.6rpg 10.6apg i just 36 mpg. Had he played 40mpg in either of those seasons, he could have easily averaged a triple double. Wilt was also close in '68 when avg. 24.3ppg 23.8rpg 8.6apg.

    @DrummerAlden52 GM's dont matter? A GM's main responsibilities include free agent signings, trades, draft preparation, marketing - pretty much the day to day running of a franchise. Those are important jobs for someone who "doesnt matter". If you draft the right players and trade well you win championships. The Bulls and the Lakers were proof of this when they dominated the NBA.

    LeBron learned everything the hard way! What ppl underestimate is that he has a guy like Wade now he motivates him on and off the court. Lebron knew he was better than everyone he ever played with. I cant remember a game when one of his players outscored him on his team! Now he has DWade, an ultimate competitor (look at ANY Cavs vs. Heat game prior to "The Decision") and the only player LBJ played w/ that can outscore him on a night. They will each rise each other up even w/ LBJ being the BEST!

    All Kobe fans over LBJ is his rings. But you have to remember, Kobe has been blessed his whole career by being surrounded by great players. Michael Jordan didn't start winning championships UNTIL he started getting good players around him! Same for LBJ. LBJ made it farther then ever now that he has D-Wade, and C.Bosh. I'm positive this is Heats season. Remember that Bryan fans! Kobe has been surrounded by good players his whole career. It's more than a one man sport!

    I was not talking about overall in the season, I said that Lebron james should have taken control in the Finals, and thats where it matters most. See this is what separates lebron-he is not the player that wants to smash on his opponents and stomp on their face when theyre down. He is not a natural born killer.
    And by the way, you argue that lebron created great chemistry, but you said that they lost the finals due to lack of chemistry?

  • @fawwaz25

    Kobe rode on shaq to get those first 3 rings, the second 2 he won because he clearly had a great supporting crew with him, so he deserved those. LBJ had no one for 7 years, and yet he still took the Cavs to the finals in '07, Kobe would never in his life be able to take his team to the finals if he had guys like Sasha Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao in his starting lineup. Even MJ couldn't have won a ring if he had the supporting cast LeBron did. And last year, you need to time to build chemistry.

    Prime Lebron carried his team to a championship and had super clutch performances.
    Prime Lebron is a better defender and all around player.
    Kobe in his prime was still the same shotjacker he is today except he made a few more of those off balance super hard fadeaways back in the day. He never had the same impact on both ends of the floor like Lebron has.

    Everyone's talking like the Finals are already on... but the Magic came one amazing shot by Lebron from taking a 2-0 lead back home! I have been saying for a week that the Magic are going to the Finals, but no one wants to listen to me. A week from now, everyone will be calling me "prophet" hahaha!

    @WoWCreflo Now what you should have said was that scoring 69 points in the playoffs is a greater feat. This is something we can both agree on. Because everyone knows that scoring in the playoffs is much harder than the season. The play is more physical, the defensive strategies are more fine tuned, and the stakes and motivation is higher. Also the teams you play against are the best in the league and the games are close so there is not much time to rest. So Jordan still has the edge on Kobe.

    @mikester8821 nope that is a fallacy... pointing out an advantage that a player has does not mean that if the advantage is taken away, the player would not achieve the same if not better results. Same goes to pointing out a disadvantage of a player and saying he WOULD achieve better results. but i do strongly agree that on the premise of determining which player is BETTER as a whole, rings account for very little in the debate. i love kobe, and i can deny LBJ's skills both are fun to watch.

    Everybody needs to back up off LeBron, he is one of the greatest basketball players of our time and probably will be one of the greatest throughout history

    Firstly, do not put kobe and michael in the same group. Kobe doesnt deserve that respect. Secondly, lebron works his ass off to get where he is and he definitely has that passion. Just look where he got his team right now. He is on a mission to win. Kobe just went 5 for 23 against the jazz. LeBron=mvp and best player. PERIOD.

    The guy is good. Let it go ppl. Yeah he don't have a ring but he will get one or two before his career is over. Remember Kobe luck up and got traded to the Lakers, if he wouldn't got traded he wouldve been in the same position as LeBron. NO RING. Lets not forget Kobe had Shaq and great coach Phil Jackson. Kobe had a team by himself and went 35-47. He played more than 75 games.

    LBJ's my favorite of the new era guys, but the handicapping of the def rules have MAGNIFIED his athleticism because it emphasizes athleticism over skill. How athletic would he seem with guys being ALLOWED to grab, hold & handcheck him with the big's camped out in the paint, waiting for his drive, because there's NO def 3-sec rule, like MJ had to face?
    If this were pre-'99, I suspect it'd be MUCH HARDER for him. He'd be just another 20-25ppg, low FG% guy, much like kobe was under the old rules.

    I miss seeing him in those alternate uniforms for the Cavs... Cleveland had some nice uniforms for once and then they switched it around and they're so boring now...
