    How did you split this pick up I thought it did not have coil splitting options on the Alnico two pro

      The pickup has four conductor wiring.
      I realise now that sometimes the phrase is used for different setups. In this case, it's for selecting one of the two coils instead of both.

    There is too little information. Is it the bridge or the neck? Was it in humbucker mode at the beginning? Amp? Guitar?

      If you can't tell the difference between the humbucker and single-coil modes you probably don't need splitting at all.
