- During every Changing of the Guard ceremony at Windsor Castle, the band accompanying the garrison will perform a variety of more popular tunes for the entertainment of the men and for onlookers. In this video, the Band of the Coldstream Guards- who were accompanying men of the Scots Guards on their duties- played the theme from HBO's "Game of Thrones." A rather appropriate setting for it all! -

All Hail Her Grace, Elizabeth of House Windsor, Second of Her name, Queen of the United Kingdom, of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, and Defender of the Faith.
🙌🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love the guards, especially the Coldstreams.
They obviously won't play the ck2 but it would be good.
I'll bring the American band to show them how it goes.
We played this in our high school marching band
Game of Thrones was one of those shows where you watched the intro and end credits every single episode.
Honestly this gave me the chills. This band really honors the song!
You were in Windsor on the 17th! You should have gone down to the brewery
AT&T: Hey thats our property! You got a licence for that?!
Head of Band: What you gonna do about it bitch boy?
The guards of Windsorfell
Amazing
imagine if this was played as cadence during waterloo there would have been no battle as the French ran from the field hahaha
Cleeeeeeear, spit valves!
Make a video about the Danish Royal Guard. It also has guards like UK and an orchestra + a tambourcorps with fifes and drums :)
Livgarden is better than the British Royal Guards. They are not just decoration, but actual guards.
@@madstofting9852 Those bayonets for the Queens Guard are real, they're fully trained and elite troops of the British Armed Forces.
@@TheRingoism In Denmark they carry ammo in the rifles and they are the primary security. In England they have ammo in the guardroom, but not with the soldiers standing guard. The queen of England also has a security force that does most of the actual security, like the American "Secret service".
@@madstofting9852 I know they don't have live weapons but the Regiments of the Queens Guard have so many more battle honours than the Danish guards, they've seen more action and had more experience.
@@TheRingoism Im not dismissing them as soldiers, they are amazing, but as guards at the royal palaces, they are just for show.
lol, sounds cool
That was great!
I thought it was fun enough to warrant its own clip!
God rest her soul.
I’d personally be disappointed if I went to see the footguards and they started playing songs like this, not that there’s anything wrong with this music, I’d just prefer to hear the marches that they’ve famously paraded to for centuries
Not to worry, there were plenty of marches as well. These sorts of tunes are only really used when there is a long period of waiting around. I will be uploading a longer video of the full ceremony later on, it just takes a long time to upload on my computer here in a hotel!
Patrick Henry I have no problem with them playing his, it obviously pleases the crowds. I was just stating that I prefer the more traditional marches because that’s what attracts me to it.
HOLD YOUR TROMBONES PARALLEL TO THE GROUND
*Just above parallel
Did anyone hear the trombones, or was the Windsor Castle Guard actual able to control their trombones?!?
british march is Very nice ( YOU are in london now ? )
Scotland, actually! I hop around a lot when on vacation. But this video is from Windsor, not London.
@@BrandonF yes iam see in title good vacation sire
God save the Queen
I am first. Thats brilliant
Bogdan Z that’s*
A comment :)
Good, but I'm afraid not as good as HM Royal Marines Band, now that's when talk about music.
It looks like they do this often
Soviet ...
Wtf. George martin is american
Wow the Queen is on a bad mood
Jason Aze the uniforms have nothing to do with the queens mood, these are winter uniforms worn between November and end of March, red Tunics are worn rest of the year.
Steve Ellis ok boomer
I can't imagine how annoying it must be to play with those straps under your lip!
