I fish fly and lure for Mack Tuna (very similar to F/albies but grow a bit bigger) and Longtail tuna out of my Hobie Outback and often thought of tying a fly on a short leader ( 1 metre) with a barrel/torpedo type sinker above a swivel for times when lots of boat activity make it hard to get close to the tuna. (I am in SE Queensland , Australia )
