Man, that bass line. Been considering a Moog addition for bass. Can't decide if I want a Minitaur or Sub Phatty. This was an awesome jam. Loved the down-pitched, Linn style drums and that fat, noisy clap. Then those gorgeous glassy pads coming in. Yeah, this is a nice one, Bill. Really digging the progression and the sounds.
P.S. I joined the KArp Odyssey club. ;)

Yes!!! Another Odyssey convert! You will NOT regret it. If you are thinking about Moog, get the Sub or the Sub37. The Minotaur is bass only, which really limits it. You can get it all with the Sub Phatty if you don't need the sequencer on the 37. The sub Phatty gives me everything I need to do minimoog bass or leads. The two oscillators and the sub really match the three oscillators of the mini very well. And it's less than a third of the price of a mini. And you get 21st century tech!

GC was blowing an Odyssey out on clearance at a unbelievable price so I pulled the trigger. I played it and the Minimoog right next to each other and I thought that Odyssey held its own very very well. As for Moog, I was kind of thinking about a Sub-37/Minitaur combo so I could have all the awesome modern features of the Sub 37 for leads, arps and sequences along with the Minitaur just dedicated for bass but the Sub Phatty can be had for nearly the same price so it seems like a better option. Who knows. I need another synth like I need a hole in the head anyway but what can I say, it's my thing.

You are gonna love the Odyssey. I have a unique relationship with it, one I don't have with any other synth. It is like a modular without the hassle of patch cables! You will get lost in it. That's what I love so much about it. It's a self-contained wonder machine! The Sub Phatty is just bass, lovely Moog bass. It can do other sounds too, but why would you want to? Haha! It sounds like a Moog modular bass. I love the combo of the sub and the odyssey. You will too! 🎹😊

Can you save and recall your patches on the Sub Phatty?

how did you sync the sub patty to the drums?

The Sub Phatty and drums are both being driven by the Beat Step Pro. Thanks for asking!
