You just saved me $1,500!!! Three of my 4 auto door locks have actuators failing and the dealer quoted me $1500 to fix them a couple days ago. This vid showed me how to turn off the auto door locks. I’ve got no problem manually locking/unlocking my 2012 Sonata doors, but just couldn’t pay $1,500. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Let me know if you come across anything else I might can help ya out. I've owned mine for 5 years and have owned 2 other ones. I know the ins and outs these cars and a lot of stuff is cheap and easy to fix even for beginners.

Another hack for yaw 2012 or so hyundai sonata peeps there's a spot in your glove box you can put your key fob for the push start in click it until a green light turns on and it's for when the battery is dead and you don't have a spare 😂😁
Also I noticed on your channel you have a playlist about your car with a couple radio options. I recently bought an after market radio on Amazon specifically for the sonatas and I'll have a review on it soon
I have 2014 gls sonata and getting into maintenace phase. Not sure what new tires i should get. Also not sure how to find out what issues need to get fixed by now.
The reason why the door is locked when you put it into drive is because if you have kids they can't open the door while you're driving and when you put it in park it unlocks so whoever is in your car can get out if they need to are want to
Ready for this? Anything helps. 2013 Hyundai sonata 2.0T 4cyl limited Ever so often my check engine light reappears and dissapears. I live in Canada, snow climate. We ran a scan and code MENTIONED 5 THINGS, one being the sensor. However, my problem derives one day i start my vehicle, and turn on the highway but it acted as emergency mode, wouldn't rev over 3k rpm and wouldnt surpass 50 kmph. When this first happen, no check engine light. I've noticed also just turning on my car and off, will fix this issue and the engine acts fine. I got the car in september, it was certified, and I havent ran into this issue yet again because i restart my car before driving every time now. Very scary turning onto an 80 and your car is acting as limbo mode (because of snow in the morning i cant pass 30 kph so i cant even tell!) . I'll try to find a pic of the code which was scanned , but please lmk very interesting indeed. The check engine lights bipolar and will be MIA for 2 weeks and reappear for a few days. thanks!!
Try wastegate actuator. It may be failing. Mine does the same as if the turbo doesn't kick in but cutting the car on and off resets it and allows it to operate in turbo mode.
@@BertskiThe3rd as in depending on the code the reader is displaying if (P2565 or P2562) test voltage and try replacing the wastegate and hopefully that will resolve your issue.
@@BertskiThe3rd yep, that's definitely the wastegate actuator that's failing. Check engine light comes and goes and it doesn't pull like it should when you hit the gas unless you cut it off and back on. Every day I do this before pulling off just to make sure my turbo will work.
Bro I think I need some help, I held down the trip button but nothing pops up, do I have to do something before I hold down the trip button for the menu screen to pop up?
Probably late but just a little below half is normal, I’ve red lined mine before and it’s still never even gone past half, so it only would go higher if you were out of coolant
It’s supposed to be at the line of where the little boat gauge at you know what I’m talking about it’s supposed to be halfway but not over that’s completely normal for Hyundai/Kia

Most likely you'll use some functionality. In 2014 they refreshed the sonata for just that year giving the limited a new stereo system. There might be some kits out there but they will most likely be pricey.
While selecting vehicle settings and going to next option , and trying to select door locks or unlock it is showing a triangle with exclamation mark(!). Can you help me on this ?
I encourage you in the future to do not comment about things that you think you know. This is not mentioned anywhere in the user manual and even if it was nobody reads their manual and some used cars do not come with manuals.

You sadly cannot change the language in that center screen, I believe it depends on what region your car was sold in.
So this will help show me distance to E rather than just "Average mph"

There’s a recall in the “clock spring” in the steering wheel. Call your Hyundai dealer it should be free of charge.
