This song was played at my Grandpa Frank’s memorial service two years ago after he tragically died from cancer on the night of October 8th, 2021. In all my life, my Grandpa Frank was always a kind and loving grandfather, with a heart as big as the shed that he built in his backyard. And he had been supporting my family for generations. And it breaks my heart to see him go. And I’m not gonna lie, this song totally makes me cry tears of joy every time I listen to it.
Like you Frank Sinatra, I did it "MY WAY." Thanks for your precious gift of song to me and the entire world. Am now 78 yrs.now and have been a great fan of yours. Thanks too to akjgo1994 for this posting. God bless you too! Sincerely, Robert S.J.Hu. Aloha from Hawaii !!!!!! Take care and God Bless. April 30, 2020.
@@ΓιωργοςΣ-β4π Hi! Thanks for your kind greeting to me in English. Sorry am not able to communicate to you in your native tongue. Take care and be safe. Much aloha to you too !!!!!!!!!!! Robert June 3, 2020
I dedicate this song to my dad who passed away on July 23, 2018. He had just turned 90 on July 11, 2018. He was the BEST dad and always put his family first. They just don't make them like that anymore! There was a radio show in NY called "Saturday with Sinatra" and he would go into his room and sing along for the 3 hours it was on. I remember it like it was yesterday, my dad had a beautiful voice and when I hear Sinatra, especially this song (we played it at the wake) I just cry like a baby. I was the youngest in the family and he always said " you will ALWAYS be my baby, NO matter how old you are." Thank you for being the best dad and for everything you always did for me. I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH MY DADDY!! Rest In Peace My Daddy until we see each other again. Keep mom safe with you always. I love you both!!
Your dad had good taste, and I'm sorry for your loss. I also honestly feel bad, since this comment is starting to get buried under the wave of Dragon Ball Z Abridged fans--myself included--but if nothing else, I'm sure your dad would be happy to see another fresh generation be introduced to the music you and your father shared, even if it was from an unconventional source.
He will live on inside of you, his hopes and dreams that he carried has been passed on to you and trusted, your father sounded like a honorable man . Use what he gave you unto others, so that the world can become a better place for all of us ^^!
Every time I hear this song I cry. From a peaceful, caring world, the world has transformed into a disgusting terrible environment, where money is all that matters. The calm good o’l days are no longer to be seen, and all that matters, is that you are the best, and that you have money. The world has changed, with all this new technology, and tech, but will never be as good as it was before. And even though, we are developing more, is it for the good, and, is it for the better of us? I do not think so. Yes, we have literally anything I can think off, but will that make a change to our mental health or the calm world we had before. I would rather have none of this technology, but live in the past, the beautiful past, the irreplaceable past, the one I’ll miss. And I am just sad for all these new generations, which are not able to see the past, who then portray it as bad, but it is actually better. Edit: Spent so much time, just for no likes, I hope someone sees this though
How sad, the people who never lived life the way they wanted and have passed. This was my grandads funeral song and he lived up to living life his way, he spoke up when he thought something was wrong, he stood up for his beliefs and never let people tell him how to act or behave. My family used to scrutinise him for wearing a cap he loved which supported a union he believed in. He never took the hat off. He was not another boring mundane forgetful face, a lot of people still know of him and speak about him - 15 years after his death i still find people who know him who I've never met in my life. He inspires me every day to not give in to living life just to please others and conform. The most powerful feeling must be lying on your death bed knowing you spoke your truth and stayed true to yourself every day you walked this earth.
I was born in 2001 and I’m from Japan, I don’t speak English, but I loved this song since I was 5years old even I didn’t know the meaning of the lyrics. Today, I was planning to end my life but this song suddenly started and I cried a lot. I will try to live longer in my way. Thank you for stopping me.
Алексай Навальный, для меня ты был не просто символом свободы, ты был для меня наждедой. Даже сейчас спусия столько времени не могу не заплакать вспомнив. Ты герой для меня. Прости нас
My uncle passed a few weeks ago, surrounded by us all, with this playing. He was awake up to the "of one who kneels" part, smiling through every part, with a content look on his face, knowing that he spent 95 years trying to best himself, but finally realising that there was nothing to best, he did it all perfect, in his own way. He closed his eyes, and took his final breath on the long "MYYYYYY WAYYYY" at the end. Rip Albert Sheeps, 1922-2017
Lost my son 11 years ago today. So very young. This song is him. He always did it his way, on the slopes, on his surfboard, helping out whenever needed at any shelter, put in jail in Costa Rica - always his way. But don't ask when will I see you again. His answer "You know Mom, I have been "here" too long, its almost time for me to go. He was right, left us in his sleep one day. So very young.
"For what is a man, What has he got? If not himself, then he Has naught To say the things he Truly feels And not the words of One who kneels." Very inspiring ❤️

Welcome to the comments section. Come here to pay respects to those who you loved and shaped your life. May they all rest in peace and may their legacy live on.
when i was young, frank sinatra was one of the first artists i really loved. my dad used to play his music a lot and this has always been one of my favourite songs of his. now at almost 22, i can sing this song comfortably and sound masculine. some notes used to be a little too low for me, but ive been slowly training my voice and i can hit all the notes now! :D
And I can relate very much, we played this very beautiful song during my Grandads funeral and let's say he went out with a bang!!! All the crowd, his old work mates all stood up and clapped their hands in cherish and memory of how exceptional a man he was. My grandad was a very caring, important and loving man who would had done anything for anyone any job wasn't too big or too small for him to complete. Just a shame he passed 2019 December 16th..was meant to reach his 80th Birthday. Let's just say, it was a very quiet Christmas. I still listen to this song to feel somewhat closer to him again .
Today is 21 year you left us....But you still old blue eyes , the chairman of the board , the King.......From 🇨🇺 Cuba with love.....Frank you did it your way....
This is my father's fav song. He used to sing this at home on his karaoke. It's tough right now as he is battling illness. This song makes me cry and comforts me. I don't know how others handle seeing their father sick. It's so hard to see him like this. 🥺🙏🏽
I am a student at a modestly sized high school in Denmark. Like most other educational establishments we have an annual musical, where volunteering singers, dancers, actors and muscicians perform an entirely original play, writen and directed by fellow students. While our school isnt famed for its artistic students or high production value, we do pride ourselves on the fact that this is completely done by the students, with little involvement from outside help. Out of curiosity, i decided to join this performance as an actor, and managed to land a pretty decent role despite my practically non-existent experience. The writers/ directors of that year were incredibaly talented, motivated and inspiring to the rest of the group. So much so that my friend managed to talk me into volunteering for writing and directing the next years play, and against all odds we ended landing the job. So there i stood. I had no leadership experience, no practical knowledge of acting- theory and no plan for the future. I knew that a group of roughly 40 people would be looking to me for guidance, which i was in every sense of the word, incapable of providing. I have always been a bit of a shut-in, prefering sitting in front of a monitor over speaking to a crowd. My friend was barely better off, lacking experience in the same degree i did. So what could we do? Nothing to do but to begin writing the manuscript. The days were long, and the days were many. But a summer vacation and 13000 words later we were ready to recruit our team and show our finished manus to the world. Due to the excellence of the last years performance and instructors there was already a large group of performers looking forward to participating again. But for the first time, our inexperience came to show. We failed to recruit more than a few new actors. We lacked the charisma and the skill to lure in new help. Those were rough days. Plagued by a dwindling number of actors, with several crewmates jumping ship to spend their time elsewhere. Every man and woman have a breaking point. A point where the obstacles in their path force them to crumble and retreat. To give up. To flee. I reached mine after a couple of months. i could not motivate the actors to learn their lines and i could not reestablish the close bond i felt with the crew the previous year. After a partularly rough practiseday i came home, concidering passing the torch to someone more capable. Hell, even a teacher would do, despite the pride we took in our independence. But on that day, a song randomly came on my Spotify playlist. A song which i certaintly enjoyed, but never gave much thought to: "My Way". As i listened to the voice of Frank Sinatra bittersweetly remember his losses and victories i realized that could be me by the end of the project. Standing tall, taking the blows, doing it my way. Finishing what i set out to do... That could be me, if i could only bite the sour apple and see things through. And i promised myself that just as soon as the curtain dropped and the play was over i would head home and listen to "My Way", reflecting over these worst and best days of my life. So i saddled down: I got my act together, threw on the face of a leader no matter how unnatural it felt, and set out to create a magnificent show for the friends, family and everyone else who came to see the fruits of mine, and everybody elses labor. Things started changing: Actors starting taking things seriously and learning their lines. Scenes started to flow naturally and the band began to sound professionally. Even the crew was bonding, and everyone began to look forward to the mondays when we practiced. The play was coming together. And we began nearing the premiere. Today was our final perfomance. We bowed to a standing applause, and to the unquestionably positive reception from everyone i knew. I did what i had to do, and saw it through without excemption. I made it to the end. And so as i sit here at home with tears of joy, relief and disbelief rolling down my eyes for the first time in years i am reminded once again that i am human, and that life is a gooddamn crazy rollercoaster full of ups and downs. All that is required is being brave enough to take the step, and enjoy the ride. This is my story, or part of it at the very least. It may not be nearly as exciting as the superheroes of Stan Lee, the life of Frank Sinatra, or the conclusion to the third season of DbzA with the death of Cell. And yet this is something i will carry with me forever. The ups and downs, the joys and perils... it has made me a better person. Because (at the risk of sounding arrogant) this was never the work of an idol seen on a tvscreen. This was my dream. My work. My way
This level of passion and innovation you describe is a large part of being human. This creativity and inspiration that seems almost tangible at times is what drives us forward as creators, and it is because of people such as yourself that tenacity and passion will continue on to touch future generations in a profound way. It is our creations which will outlive us all, and it is up to us what our individual legacies will be, what future generations will remember us by. Thanks to your passion, the beginning of your legacy has begun. May you stay true to your philosophy; do it your way, and nobody else's. May your life be long and your legacy be great.
The older you are, the more you appreciate this song. That's why I like hearing old people sing it, or the ones who've had a tough life. They really make you feel the weight of this song.
This song was played at my best friend's funeral yesterday which is one of his favorite songs. Before his life came to the end, he wasn't fear about death but still encouraged his family and friends to cheer up. RIP to my best friend, Isaac. You will be forever missed.
It amazes me that part 3 of dbza was only uploaded a few hours ago and there are already so many people from that video. Also RIP Perfect Cell you will be missed. Hope to see you again whenever TFS does whatever filler you appear in.
TheBlueComet832 Arthur Anderson agreed, no matter what context the song’s used in (I associate it with the Jeter commercial just before his retirement) its incredible. But then again, what else would you expect from the Chairman of the Board?
a perfect death for a perfect being, a swan song for a show that wasn't always perfect, but was made by people who did not back down from doing it their way.
Jennifer Olinger Just because he discovered the song like that or just likes Cells version more does not mean that he can not appreciate this for what it is. Those are not mutually exclusive things.
I was put to tears, such a perfect finale for a perfect villain and a perfect season of a perfect show. Farewell, Mr. Perfect Cell. You will be missed.
For this video to be here for 12 years ... I used this exact video when ever I visited my uncle... He loved jazz .. he and his wife danced this everytime... My uncle passed away this year.... RIP Uncle.... I miss u so much.... Thank u for teaching me jazz... And how to be as kind hearted as you were ...
This was the parting song at my father’s funeral. The whole song sums up his life, he took the blows and did it his way! He was a complex man but was true to himself, there was no doubt that he was full of integrity and was true to his beliefs. Miss you Dad and our wonderful debates.
My grandad sang this at a family party years back, he sang to me coming right up to me. My grandad left us last week, my middle of the nights now consist of crying my eyes out ... I just want one cuddle 😭
It does get better I'm in the same position as you and just end up crying but I just keep telling myself that there is loghlight at the end of the tunnel and that I can get through this so I know you can to
What I love right now is that the population of listeners that grew up with this song won't get the references to a tall, green, child-beating bug man that everyone's crying about. I fucking love DBZ.
why would you love that? its a ruination of the pre-DBZA fans. watching a classic song you love be ruined by the constant commenting about this tall green child beating bug man isnt something you should love, its something you should be lamenting. people dont come here to read DBZA comments - and those that do are the kind of assholes who would leave their own "like this for DBZA" comment even though theres a hundred of them already each with over 1k likes - much like how i wouldnt go to a DBZA video expecting to hear about frank sinatra and his other songs. dont get me wrong, i like cell singing the song, i like DBZA, i DONT like it when popular things take old things and do their own thing with it thus opening the floodgates to all these shitty commentators saying "lol loved cell, RIP" or "like for DBZA" or "cell sang this better". they did it with mr blue sky and GotG, they did it with bakers street and rick and morty, and now theyve done it with this.
My Poppop is a huge Sinatra fan. He is one of the happiest men you will ever meet, and the other day, when he was singing this song to me in the car, I started tearing up. He's getting older and older by the day, physically and mentally, but he has always lived his life to the fullest, his way. This is the song he will go out to
Cell truely did everything his way. *R.I.P Stan* *R.I.P Frank* and most of all.... *R.I.P TFS Cell* All these people shall be remembered for the rest of their lives along with all other great people. May their glory shine forever. Amen
Music's ability to touch the core of what it is to be human at its best. If you're feeling doubt in yourself in something in your life listen to this song and soak it in, it'll steer you to strength and resilience.
Good old Frankie. Such a timeless spirit, such a beautiful vibe! Frank Sinatra will live on through my own music. He has always and will always inspire my music!
+_irvingz_ sorry but Logic may refer to himself as a Young Sinatra, and he's talented in his own way, but he is nowhere near the level of emotion and story telling as Frank Sinatra, come on he's possibly the greatest artist of all time. I listen to rap too but Logic isn't even top 10 in the rap game
Rest in peace Dad. This was one of his favorite songs. It sums up his life with every word. My father was such a man. Nathaniel Stevens, I'm going to miss you and Mom forever.
my grandfather passed away today, and this was his favorite song. my mom and i sang it to him during his last moments of lucidity. i haven't stopped humming the song, but i can't help the tears that well up because i miss him so much already. lolo, i am happy that you are no longer in pain. i will miss you so much, but at least you went out your way.
This was played at my grandads funeral in 2014. It was perfect in every way for describing him, he truly did do life his way. See you soon grandad. Just remember if love could of saved you you would have lived forever
Jack Hamilton How'd you enjoy it? Also, you're saying you've never heard of this song, one of Frank Sinatra's best and most famous songs? I understand it's not impossible, but I just think it's interesting that some people don't know who Frank Sinatra is, haha.
Rest in peace grandfather or who I called “pa”, fought for Britain even though he was German in ww2. This song is a reminder to every memory with him, him teaching me maths and German, taking me on holidays and many other memories. 😔💕

fuck these comments. love DBZA but hate those who feel the need to mention the popular thing on something because the popular thing mentioned it. GotG did the same with mr blue sky, and now you assholes are doing it with DBZA. also theres an actual video of cell singing this song on the TFS channel, why cant you comment the reference there instead of feeling the need to drag it here?
This is why I'm glad Guitar Hero and Rock Band aren't around anymore.... so I can talk about music again without talking about how hard it was on Guitar Hero.
I heard this song for the first time some days ago... and I have to say it makes me feel the sense of freedom in my whole body. It's just beautiful, thank you for sharing it with me, anna.
I can't understand, it's hard for me to believe how someone can sing, interpret a song like that. So perfect, so incredibly perfect. I do not know how to explain it.

This reminds me of my dad, you legit made me cry
Your dad had good taste, and I'm sorry for your loss.
I also honestly feel bad, since this comment is starting to get buried under the wave of Dragon Ball Z Abridged fans--myself included--but if nothing else, I'm sure your dad would be happy to see another fresh generation be introduced to the music you and your father shared, even if it was from an unconventional source.
Rest in Peace, Mr Calderon.
He will live on inside of you, his hopes and dreams that he carried has been passed on to you and trusted, your father sounded like a honorable man . Use what he gave you unto others, so that the world can become a better place for all of us ^^!

I was going to give u my like but I'm not going to break that ''666''
Every time I hear this song I cry.

This is my father's fav song. He used to sing this at home on his karaoke. It's tough right now as he is battling illness. This song makes me cry and comforts me. I don't know how others handle seeing their father sick. It's so hard to see him like this. 🥺🙏🏽
Just be there for him as you always have. Since this is one of his favorites, hopefully it will give you both strength.

Rest in peace Dad. This was one of his favorite songs. It sums up his life with every word. My father was such a man. Nathaniel Stevens, I'm going to miss you and Mom forever.
Sending you love and light dear
I’m sorry for your loss sir. May they rest in peace
Hits a new level when he says “For what is a man? What has he got?” Deep cutting and very powerful
Was looking for this comment.... This sums it up 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
my grandfather passed away today, and this was his favorite song. my mom and i sang it to him during his last moments of lucidity. i haven't stopped humming the song, but i can't help the tears that well up because i miss him so much already.
lolo, i am happy that you are no longer in pain. i will miss you so much, but at least you went out your way.
This was played at my grandads funeral in 2014. It was perfect in every way for describing him, he truly did do life his way. See you soon grandad. Just remember if love could of saved you you would have lived forever

Then I guess at that point...
You’ve done it your way.
I doubt it, none of the gods have made an appearance for a long time
Best "you have n minutes to live" comment I have read so far.

That music is a truly legend. I can’t describe the feeling that is passed by that music. Sinatra was a great singer. One of the best, if not the best.
I want this to be the last song I ever listen to.
Darth Michael A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
Imagine while watching palpitine falling in slow motion and this song playing

I’m here for two reasons
1. Because of TFS
2. Because I wanted to see how good the original song was
Jack Hamilton How'd you enjoy it? Also, you're saying you've never heard of this song, one of Frank Sinatra's best and most famous songs? I understand it's not impossible, but I just think it's interesting that some people don't know who Frank Sinatra is, haha.
Thats whats so about great about it consider how many people who discover this music just because of cell
JoshTheBrawler oh I know who Frank Sinatra is, just never seen or heard his work. But I really love this song
JoshTheBrawler it’s almost like people have different tastes and aren’t obligated to know all about the tastes of others 🤔
Same
My dad requested this at his funeral. He did It his way.
...and so did millions of others

Gone but never forgotten. ❤️
The song for when you’ve made it through a tough set of challenges in life and are now at peace.
Rest in peace grandfather or who I called “pa”, fought for Britain even though he was German in ww2. This song is a reminder to every memory with him, him teaching me maths and German, taking me on holidays and many other memories. 😔💕
I'm so sorry to here that
@@aubreyspray2514 Not so sure that's how "pa" would want you to take it, Aubrey.

No joke, my father and I got drunk on Thanksgiving and sang this flawlessly
@@DaFro3713 seems like a lovely memory then.
My Dad Was in Love with this Man...Thank U All for yur Replies. The First line of the song Brings Tears to my eyes...
And Now the End is Near...We were All with my Father and I kno he Heard Frank Sinatra singing this in the Room. This is What my Dad wanted To hear Frank Sinatra at his Funeral But we only had a Small gather as God called him Home. As the nurses were Saying he could still hear us and also Frank singing. Cell(Imperfect): “And now, The end is nea- AHH! GOD DAMN IT! SHIIIIIIT!”
That was anti-climatic
fuck these comments. love DBZA but hate those who feel the need to mention the popular thing on something because the popular thing mentioned it. GotG did the same with mr blue sky, and now you assholes are doing it with DBZA. also theres an actual video of cell singing this song on the TFS channel, why cant you comment the reference there instead of feeling the need to drag it here?
lordlossize GG xkcd.com/1314/
@@lordlossize I can understand it might be a bit annoying. But hey, at least it's not people complaining about modern music
This is why I'm glad Guitar Hero and Rock Band aren't around anymore.... so I can talk about music again without talking about how hard it was on Guitar Hero.
I heard this song for the first time some days ago... and I have to say it makes me feel the sense of freedom in my whole body.
It's just beautiful, thank you for sharing it with me, anna.
this is the type of song for the Ww2 Veterans during their final days remembering their Service To their country
@Thomas Shannon shut up shannon
They're veterans who fought for their country so have some fucking respect SHANNON
Thomas Shannon yeah Shannon relax have some respect

@@thefacts9869 bro go easy on Shannon. It's obvious that his pansy ass can't handle anybody insulting him and disagreeing with his beliefs
I agree with shannon. They should have stayed out of WWII, that way nobody would have been murdered.
This song motivates me to live my life authentically my way. Love it!
I can't understand, it's hard for me to believe how someone can sing, interpret a song like that. So perfect, so incredibly perfect. I do not know how to explain it.
Its a catchy song aint it
His voice is unique. You can try to replicate it, but you'll never be able to do it.
Frank Sinatra was an outstanding singer. I listen to him everyday and so should everyone. RIP
Its so...sad. So unapologetic to the very end. I love it.
Blizzic very true I know it's a meme to say this but I actually want this song to be played at my funeral. Also can't wait for the next video

@Jonathan McMahon shit u right
I buried my 84 year-old brother today. Although we didn't play this song at his funeral I should have because this was my big brother through and through. Good-bye Bob, nI am truly going to miss you. Thank you for being my big brother.
