If he's got that new contract I don't think it's been because he's useless for the team, Suns believe in him. Nobody pays a 3-year-contract 51 million$ for a bad player.
Rubio's game has changed substantially. He doesn't really give you the flashy assists anymore. But he has improved his shot a lot and you can always trust him to make the right sensible play.
