I remember when I was in Rarotonga back in 1992 for the Pacific Festival of Arts with Hawaii’s delegation, I still remember like it was yesterday. The Marshallese sailors were first ones to arrive to Raro in their traditional canoe and they were using the traditional navigations. It was like a race. They beat out every others Islands sailors and hate to admit this but they did. They were welcomed by the Kukis dancers on the beach. I kept asking their captain a lot of questions just out of curiosity. It was fascinating.

Cook left Tupaia in Indonesia to die he didn't want to take him to England because Cooked wanted to hide Tupaia the Navigators story and take the glory. On Cooks last journeys through Polynesia the Hawaiians killed him maybe this was a spiritual karma.

Tupaia died of malaria (as did his adopted son Taiato and at least 20 other Endeavour crew members), probably complicated by his sting ray barb injury (from Boraborans who attacked his home island of Ra'iatea) and bouts of scurvy.

Don’t celebrate captain cook . If it wasn’t for him meeting tupaia he would have died especially if he landed in autearoa they would have cooked him and ate him he was luckey . Look what happened at Waimea on Kauai he put his hands on a chief a death chant was cried out by the people and he was beaten to a pulp in the water the water ran red all the way to kekaha .he should have listened to tupaia and turned back but he was greedy and wanted to claim all the islands for him self . You know to funny because they say that Polynesian People found Hawaii by accident but it’s the other way around captain cook was lost and drifting about not knowing where he was going but not my ancestors they knew exactly what they were doing .Polynesian people were the great navigators and the white man was the accidental drifters .fact

Yes i am thinking that Tupaia was naughty because by him travelling with Captain Cook and gave the map of the pacific, Captain Cook deserved everything he got. He was evil and greedy. If any of families are reading my comments, i apologise for nothing. Look what the Hawaiians did to him in the end!!!!

According to a video i recently saw, it has been told by Tupaia, that Samoa was the Fatherland of Polynesia and then some branch out to find new islands, and sometimes would go back to Savaii In Samoa and back to new new found land.
