I think the same thing with respect to every video Ms. R. posts. Which one is my favourite? All of them.
I want to start her mini workshops. Love her projects and the way she explains! Go Ann!😊
Love your work. I’ve thrown double wall pots and painted underglaze or slip on the inner wall before sealing the walls up. You could do the same with your inner cup before you put the two pieces together.
@@beckybragg868 that is a great idea Becky. It might be a bit tricky to paint when the clay is so soft....then do the connecting without messing up the painting, but if I were really calculating about it and careful, I bet I could make that work. thanks for the suggestion.
How stunning is this... I always love to watch you work

Hey Debbie!! Awesome!! Go for it. It really is a lot of fun and simpler than you might think. 🙂
That’s a very col technique. The arches remind me of gothic architecture.
Hi Ali! Always great to hear from you. Thanks so much. I used to do these a lot. My pottery journey has evolved in so many ways. As always, thank you for watching!!
this is one of my favourites of oyur videos. I'm going tohave to try doing this but Im not sure my skill level is up to it. I'll still have a go tho. Thank You Ann.
Hey Cariad. Im so glad you like it. You should give it a try for sure. I bet. you will surprise yourself with your skills. Good luck!!
Beautiful piece Ms. Ann❤❤
But tell me, can you make a video on how to "hand build" a double wall?
Hey Street. that is a good idea. I would have to play around and figure out a system of templates perhaps . Either that or come up with a whole new design 🙂. That would be fun. I have had others ask the same thing. If I do figure it out, that would be a great idea for another video wouldnt it. Thanks for the inspiration and good luck in the studio. 🙂
@annruel1982 thanks Ann
Hope you do. My hand built double wall coil built took sooooo long & then cracked during firing..
❤❤
Hey Raven!! Thanks so much!!!! 🙂
Beautiful. Would not change a thing! Where can I purchase one?!
Aww...thanks so much Karen. Im afraid someone beat you to it, but I will be making more. Keep an eye out. ... Ann
Can you make an inner wall and outer wall vase...I think that would be elegant.
I love the double walled mug !
I'm definitely going to try make one now 😊
But I wonder about the cleaning.
Once the mug is finished and in use - Won't it be hard to clean the inner section at the bottom? (you know, between the walls?)
Hey Sioben, Thanks so much for watching. I am so glad you enjoyed the project. Give it a try. When you tell your customer how to clean the mug, just tell them for the best care of the. mug, rinse it as soon as they are finished using it. Rinsing without letting the liquid sit for long periods of time should take care of normal staining. I like to hand wash, but the person can just stick it in the dishwasher too. That will do the job. Remember, you can never control how the person uses the mug once it is out of your hands. All you can do is give them the best tips for caring for their hand made pieces. The rest is up to them 🙂
I would like to make a double walled mug hand built?
That is a good idea, Ginny. Go for it. I would like to try it that way, myself, actually. Have fun 🙂
