I almost can't believe how good it is. The "fat" gets so crispy, and the "meat" stays chewy. Nice and salty. It is a bit of a faff to get out of the packet in one piece, but most definitely worth the effort
I quite like 'This isn't' stuff but my goodness that packet seems like a real waste of plastic, could have easily put it in a much much smaller pack with like paper inbetween the rashers or something.
Got one pack from ASDA, decided to give it a shot. I will be honest with you, if you lived in the bunker, and if you somehow manage to make plant based bacon, in that case it's edible, but it's NOTHING as real bacon. I taste loads of peas/carrots/beetroot (obviously) and a small hint of bacon flavour. If you're vegan/vegeterian and never tried bacon before, yes it's not bad, but if you're meat (bacon ofc) lover, this just won't do it.
Bought this yesterday and it was an absolute disaster. Could not get it out of the box, it all fell apart. The fat turned into inedible gloop. Had to spit it out. I was so disappointed as I usually love this brand.
I'm generally a fan of THIS products, but I think this streaky stuff is truly awful. Virtually impossible to keep it together either when removing it from the packet or cooking it, and the taste isn't a patch on the original THIS rashers. My teenage son will eat virtually anything that hasn't got animals in it and loves a fake bacon sandwich, but he won't eat this. I would love to believe that this really is the product that will turn meat eaters away from pig bacon, but I very much doubt it will.
there’s no accounting for taste I quite like the original ones, but I prefer these streaky ones by far. Fry in plenty oil (refined coconut is best) cook ‘em up in a big mess (don’t faff trying to separate) until crispyish, whack it between some mushroom (or tomato, or egg) and sauce on a roll (buttered with Flora plant butter). So good. I was a meat-eater and bacon fan. I also like Beyond Sausages. Linda Macs 1/4 pounders make great burgers too
We all have different tastes, for instance I’m not a fan of Beyond Meat stuff. I’m glad you’ve both found things you do like and products are getting better all the time.
I don't believe you, but this review has me intrigued to go and try it myself. Thanks.
Great review and very helpful thank you.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Love the fireballs coming out of your ears! And yes, he did eat it all! 😂 can’t wait to try it 😊

Yeah, it needs some paper separating the rashers. It’s simple wonderful, i doubt anyone could tell the difference now
It's the one thing wrong with it
Question for anyone who has tried this. Woud it BBQ well on a disposable BBQ? Maybe sat in oil in some tin foil
You have sold me on this, gonna pick some up tomorrow.
It is absolutely fantastic, I’ve turned into a bit of a this fan boy!
Great review
Thank you very much
Thanks. I like your presentation in these videos. I’ll try some of this. I’d like to know how long you cooked it for.
Thanks. The packet says 2 mins a side. I like mine a little crispier, so cooked about 3-4 mins on a medium to high heat.

I know that’s my gripe with most packaging too. Some paper between the rashers would be an excellent idea, they did stick to each other a bit.
Just bought this to try with a bit hesitation as I am vegan for 8 years and vegetarian for 20 so wonder if that really taste like meat🤔

I feel your pain! It is tasty, but it really needs some wax paper between the strips. I was really carful and mine even fell apart a bit
