Hi Kev. Your lucky day finding that lever. WOW. What are the odds of that ? Interesting that some DTIs have a lever and some don't need one to reverse direction. Most Chinese ones are leverless. Cheers Rob
Hi Rob Not sure why some do or some don't but these Verdict ones are still made here in UK at £150 a pop it also has a Jewelled movement thanks for feedback atb Kev
Hi kev very detailed video well done with your repair and modification the beauty of UA-cam is great as a community to help each other out via the comments Well done to you and great that Chris chipped in with his helpful comment Cheers Andy G
That's a bit of a change in size to the stuff you usually work on Kev! Good fix though. I do have one question, where's the hacksawing? 🤣🤣🤣Cheers, Alan.
cheers Alan,👍 working my way up to going "Micro"😉 don't worry plenty of hacksawing to do🤣🚂🚂👍👍👍 I can always find something to chuck in to the vice for a bit of Cardio Vascular!!!😆 atb Kev
@@julias-shed yes . i used to do vintage clock repairing as a previous hobby, but packed up because of ageing eyesight, if its on to watches i will need a micro scope.🤣🤣👍👍🚂🚂
@@MrFactotum I did a few courses with the BHI on clock repair which I enjoyed and fixed up a few cheap Smiths clocks but lost interest after I had to change nearly every pivot in a Westminster chiming clock 😳 probably ought to sell some of the lathes!
@@julias-shed Was it the BHI Headquarters in Southwell !, i nearly signed on there in a past life, but decided for the repairs i did i learnt on the job, even to the point of making my own pivot bushes. Thats when my eyes were 20-20🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍 atb Kev
Add watch making to your skills, used one of fathers depth mics to day looked at the brand Ambrose shardlow never seen that brand before. Kit from down under
Cheers Cristopher👍👍👍 Yes ok, eyes not up to it though for watches, i used to repair vintage clocks in a previous hobby. As for the Ambrose Shardlow not sure, but i think i've heard Shardlow before🤔 Great to hear your using your dads tools, keep up the good work atb Kev
Nice one Kev. I have a smaller version of that one. I just had a look & it does not have that feature on it. Had it years & forgot it sometimes sticks. Steve.
@@Steviegtr52 ok thanks, if its the plunger / lever sticking try cleaning it with some brake cleaner or lighter fuel, they don't like oil. see ya next time, hope the front suspensions coming on ok👍👍👍👍
