This is still one of my faves by them. Definitely heavy, for sure. It also gave me Black Sabbath vibes when I first heard it. Amazing to know they were only teens when they wrote it.
Apologize looks promising as well since it's already a quite heavy song and because live The Warning songs sounds even heavier. We'll have to wait until they play it live to be sure about it tho.
This song marks the protagonist's complete transformation into the titular Queen, fully embracing her dark side. It's a pivotal moment in the concept album, showing her newfound power and control, while hinting at the inevitable consequences of her actions.
Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album that tells the story of a girl's fall from love into obsession, murder, and finally, suicide. Worth the listen, for sure.
In a lot of their songs, it's Ale's bass that stands out to me. This song I love Dany's main guitar riff. The Gibson Explorer Dany is playing here is the one gifted to her by Lzzy Hale at another show, not long before this one. This is the first song played after Lzzy presented it to her. The word Pau is singing in the pre chorus is Korosu, a Japanese word that roughly translates to 'kill' or 'murder'.
This album tells the story of a girl who falls in love with a boy, but this boy does not feel the same as her, as the songs go by you can see how the girl's mental stability deteriorates. That love becomes an obsession. The girl begins to think "if he is not mine, he is no one else's." In the song "Stalker," she ends up murdering the boy. After that, she feels great regret, but voices began to be heard in her mind. who convinced her that what she did was right, ended up convincing her that her sin was right. then he began his really murderous and destructive stage, (it is not clear if he committed more murders) but he begins to become aware of what he did, in the song "the end" he talks about what he did and he knows that it was not good, but it was already wanted for her crime and knows that there is no turning back, she makes the decision to reconcile with herself, say goodbye to her loved ones and ends up committing suicide... as a curious fact the end ends up saying "start again" implying that there is to listen to the full album again. I don't know much English so I don't know if I said everything correctly ¡¡greetings from Mexico!!🇲🇽🇲🇽🌮🌮
Agreed, this song has some Black Sabbath / Metallica vibes, but I'd say it also reminds me of Judas Priest, it definitely has an old school heavy metal vibe to it 🤘.
Queen of the Murder Scene In Queen of the Murder Scene, the evil side taunts the Queen (“You don’t deserve the throne. The crown is mine”). She is proud of how evil she is and boastful about it. But the Queen may have something to say about that in the next song, P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. Notice that Paulina, who has been the voice of the Queen (the good side) since Sinister Smiles, chants “Korosu, korosu”, which is Japanese for “kill”. Something seems to have changed with her.
LA VERSIÓN DEL LUNARIO CDMX 😎🤘
Probably heaviest on this album, they have heavier songs on their latest album KMF!😊⚡️
This one is in my personal "Top-3".
And about albums, "QOTMS" is my favorite.
Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽

Thank you. This is my favorite album.

🤘⚡🤘 heaviest at that point I'd say. But Sharks now has that spot.
Sharks is my favourite from KMF.

Seeing them live in 2 weeks, for the first time. Bummed that I probably won't be hearing anything from QOTMS that night.
I had it confirmed that Ale recorded this with her Spector basses.

Better by you, better than me.

The guitar solo is pure Black Sabbath.

There are theories that she literally kidnapped and murdered someone.
There are theories that she was delusional and imagined the whole thing.
