I chose completely online. I couldn’t imagine sending them to school. If someone is home with them, my husband told me to quit my job so I could be home with them but I understand people that can’t do that.
I couldn’t imagine either. All kids will be back home before we know it anyway. Face to face will be a disaster and won’t last long.
Is a blessing that you can do that. I have the option to work from home (also a blessing), and I'm going to keep doing that. It terrifies me that my son could get CoVid, he gets bad asthma just with a common cold.

My kids (teens) chose fully online too. I work from home. We know we are fortunate to be able to do this.
Yeah but Kimmy could and it’s sad she won’t keep them home.
My kids and myself are going back to school online. I was hoping to have at least one f2f class so I could see other adults but no such luck. Thank you for your videos. I may not get to talk to other adults but the videos UA-camrs like yourself put out really help my sanity.

My stepdad used to start in on me in July....Looori, it's almost back to school! He couldn't wait to have me out of the house and he knew I hated school. Now that I'm a mom, I homeschool. Very different world from what I grew up in!😂

I started to keep my old family planners as like a diary of our year. I write little notes in them all the time so it’s sweet to look back and see when we took vacations or when my littles started school.
I got the bigger version of that planner at Target and I’m obsessed!! Love that it has lines and a weekly planning list on the other page.
I started 3 weeks ago getting my kids back into their bedtime routine although they try to stay awake pass their bedtime it's been working. We will be virtually learning this year. Sending my kids back to school right now is not an option.

I love the weekly planner feature. The daily stuff never works out. I end up adding arrows, moving everything around.
Always enjoying sharing your days. Now that my kids are both adults and only Christy is still at home (and doing Uni from home), it's a nice little trip down memory lane seeing you get organised for back to school.

I just got that planner!!! Thank you so much for telling me about it. ADHD gal myself to, and I LOVE the lists on each week. I was sad to see it wasn't consistent on each size of the planner but happy to find it at all. HUGS!

We are in lockdown 2.0 so church is still closed. My church continues Sunday church & Wednesday Bible study on Zoom. This coming Tuesday, we are going to start prayer hour in the parking lot of church. Social distanced chairs & umbrellas will be available. My city has approved churches to meet in parks, but my minister is being cautious.
I have an agenda with what I am doing every day and a sticky note with my to do list per week as I never found one like yours.
But the writing method always works for me.
I get periods when I fail my lists and I start to think that I can't do anything right, but I remember my self that it's a bad week probably and I take a break for a few days not writing anything and then I feel good again and start planning.
I love Bluesky planner and notes.
When Kimmy said Church makes you hungry I like oh yeah it does when my mom and I go to mass on Saturday nights (we go Saturday night because we liv in a small town and our church is small so Sundays are packed and my mom works nights) when ever mass gets out while were waiting in the parking lot we figure out what we want we always come out of church starving Communion just doest fill you up in that way hehe

I used to hate mushrooms until just recently I tried caprese stuffed portabello pizza so now I know I like portabello mushrooms but I don't like button mushrooms at all. I had no idea mushrooms can taste different. Now I want to try all the different kinds. My family never thought they would see the day I liked mushrooms 🤣 Have a blessed day Kimmy and Fam💗
I've missed vlogs like this! Thank you. 💕 We started school on the 6th and it was a bit of a struggle, but not as bad as normal since we're doing distance learning still here in California and the kids don't have to be up quite so early these days. 🤷♀️
Hi! I homeschooled my children several years ago. I watched your recent video about your journey with home schooling and you purchased a workbook or planner that has some pages you asked for suggestions on how to use....i found it helpful to have your child place a smiley face sticker for each day that expresses how she is feeling that particular day.

I relate to you soo much about the stickers and planner. I have tons of stickers not all of them are planner stickers . But i have soo many right now and i love putting lots of stickers in my planner.
I still can’t get use to the new house lol like I’m expecting to see you in the old kitchen still with all the aprons on the pantry door!
I noticed that about winter hats and gloves, too! Kids are always losing them, and then it's hard to replace them. Last year, I finally bought them straps to clip onto their gloves.
Frozen grapes are a favorite in our house as well. I freeze them separately on a large sheet and then once frozen stick them in a ziplock. They don't stick together then.

My daughter has her first Meet The Teacher tomorrow night, and the school she is teaching at, starts next week. So many extras have to be done, due to COVID. She has to sanitize centers between each childs use, all extras (music, art, pe) will be done in the classroom, no water fountains, and lunch in the classroom. She is trying to come up with creative solutions (lanyards) to keep masks on 4 and 5 year olds. Even with all the craziness, I really miss having kids in school, and back to school shopping and prep.

Oh kimmy. You are an amazing mom! I can’t remember the last time I made cookies with my kids. I’m trying not to compare myself with you I fall very short. I am a good mom there needs are met. We are starting virtual and I really am “terrified “. I’m torn. Fragile family or not see them. Papa still very active but after 2 heart attacks and mini stroke we are trying to keep him safe. His grandkids keep him going. I just don’t want to risk him

I love being in routine...and in school routines and at home routines all make me happy. I think even if I didn't have to go to work I'd run a pretty tight block plan schedule like I do at the weekend or I'd get nothing done and still feel like I've not gone any time left to dedicate to self care. Without a plan I'm nothing. 😂
Plum Paper has a planner with that similar layout. It’s called “Notes & Days” layout. I’ve used it for a few years. It’s great.

How do you make time for yourself without incredible mom guilt? You are so dedicated to your family, provide amazing home cooked snacks and meals, get involved with all the kid things etc. I need help dealing with mom guilt.
That’s a great question. Think of it this way... think of how much you love and need your car. It needs car washes, repairs, time in the shop. We make sure that it’s running good right? We depend on it, it does so Much for us. We to need to make time for us or we to will get run down.

Yes, things will be back to some form Normality here in the UK, my granddaughter returns to school in September after a long time away with Covid 19. Life is somewhat different. Hope you and the family are settling in your New Home it looks amazing. stay safe guys, love to all, Julie in the UK xx

Frozen grapes are the best, especially in the summer. My two youngest are homeschooled but my oldest son has to work from home until September 8th then we have no clue what’s happening. Here in The Dallas area we have such high numbers, we may opt to just let him do online learning for a bit.

I just use my google calendar and notes on my phone. I tend to lose paper copies. I always have have my phone on me.
I honestly can't imagine being a stay-at-home and STILL choosing to send my kids back to school during a pandemic when someone is home! I guess each family makes their own decisions based on what works for them 😕
I am sorry that you are getting this judgment Kimmie. Unless you have some kind of super-child there is no doubt that they learn better in school than they will at home. It's not just the academics but also the routine and social needs.
@@JENNIFER-zx1qg I am not only a teacher but a mom. Children can learn just as well at home...that's why many families have homeschooled children for years! I do understand the desire to want your kids to go back to school, have their routine, and socializing. However, now is definitely a time to prioritize safety (not only the child's but the adults they come in contact with as well.) I apologize if you feel this was too harsh to vocalize to Kimmie but I was simply voicing my opinion that I found it hard to believe a SAHM would CHOOSE to send her kids back during a pandemic. To each their own. I wish all good health and safety 🙂
When you have kids that need extra help, sometimes being back at school can make a big difference. My son is Autistic and Dyslexic and struggles working at home.
Honestly, I think it is the stress of the week and the worry of the following week that makes us hungry on Sundays.
I got a parent planner at Walmart at the beginning of the year it has everything i really need! Its timed out so you can plan your day by time if you need, a meal plan, budget plan for ever month even has a pad in the back where you can give to a babysitter with emergency numbers and favorite places to eat and info on the kids if needed! It was definitely worth the $20!!
I like these planners too! As you say inexpensive, easy to use and no fuss to them.
I'm a Happy Planner girl. I love that I can put whatever I want in it and arrange it however I want.

I am a home school mom of now 2, 2nd & Pre-k. We started school on Tuesday, planned on Monday but needed to still get a few things done 😬😒🤪 haha. Every August we start Getting into a routine & start school before September starts.....slow progression w/schoolwork etc. ugh always a struggle even for this momma, cup of coffee #2 and worship music playing and ready to start.
