Today’s video is about a skin tool that I want to share with you that mimics massage. So if you struggle, for any reason, to do your own massage or just want a break from it - this is a great skin tool to have at home as an alternative. It’s the Jillian Dempsey Gold Beauty Bar.

It’s totally safe around the eyes so definitely keep it on. When you first turn it on, don’t keep twisting it, just leave it at the same place that you switched it on. The more you twist, the higher it goes. Just keep it around the eye contour, not directly under the eye. Aim for the boney part.

Hello Taryn, thank you for the tutorial. I want to ask if using this massaging tool could cause breakout? Have you ever experienced or heard about it. I have a very sensitive skin and I have used this tool, though from a different company, couple of times and I could see small pimples on my skin. Don't know if my periods which are soon due or this tool is giving me skin problems. Would you pls. advice?
Omg… Use Gua Sha tools before and had the same experience 😢
Not that I am aware of. Always make sure you use it on a clean skin and with the right serum for your skin type. Drink plenty of water afterwards to flush out any toxins drained. Clean your tool in between uses as well. Hope that helps x

how to clean the gold bar? should i clean it before and after massage?
Always clean it before you use it & wipe clean afterwards. 🤗
Warm soapy water with a flannel would be fine. Only clean the bar. Don’t drench the device.
It helps to put a moisturizer or night mask on before you start dragging this across your face to help glide the tool and penetrate the serum, moisturizer or night mask etc.

Why do you massage the face by letting the tool rub against the direction of gravity, while on the neck you make the tool massage in the same direction as gravity, so why?!
We always glide towards the nearest lymph nodes. The lymph nodes carry toxins away so we always drain towards lymph so the lymphatic system works more efficiently.

Ooh I have lots of favourite serums. It depends on your skin type but I like to use mine with a serum that has an oily consistency so that the bar will glide over nicely.

I would apply your serum and use the gold bar over your serum. After using the bar, you can apply your moisturiser. 12-15 mins would be an ideal time for full face & neck. 😊
With this tool, can i get rid of my neck fat too?

It won’t remove fat, unfortunately. It does help to tone muscles and boost lymphatic drainage so if you have fluid retention, it’ll drain toxins to the lymph nodes and the body will rid the waste. So it will help to reduce puffiness and brighten your complexion. 😊

I've been in the makeup business my entire life and that's a long time these machines for your face do absolutely nothing they make you feel good they may make you feel warm or cool but as far as affecting the underlying muscles of your face you're wasting your time you're just fooling yourself and some of them are very expensive. Very popular now is the Jade roller I've never seen him more useless piece of junk thinking rolling a piece of stone on your face is going to do something it's just foolishness. If you want to buy one for what you do get out of it the good sensation away it makes you feel the warmth of it go ahead it's a great thing to have it's fun I have myself but don't think it's going to work any Miracles because it isn't

Do you know much about the lymphatic system? You only need to apply a very light pressure to boost lymphatic drainage. A roller is a great tool for lymph drainage and very effective if you need to boost your detoxification process.
@@tarynwilliamsmethod5888 I do know there is a process of draining the lymphatics but I don't know that much about it so I really can't comment. But I don't think rolling a jade stone on your cheekbone is going to help you lymphatic system.

You have the majority of your lymph nodes around the ears/neck/collar bone. Light pressure towards them encourages lymphatic drainage.

I was a makeup and hair designer for the theater and I am not an expert on the inner workings of the body and you know definitely a lot more about it than I do but I've seen so many machines come and go that we're useless I have a collection of some from the 20. But you're showing me one thing I'm going to look up and inform myself more about the lymphatic system and report back to you and you can test you can test me thank you very much you've been to help
