- 5 month old baby routine (I have twins). We don't follow a 'set' routine, but here is how our day usually goes :)
Wake between 7-8am
Morning nap 2 hours after wake up time. (Nap for 1-2 hours)
Wake up after nap & play on playmat, sensory toys etc
Afternoon nap two hours after wakeup time. (Nap for 1-2 hours)
Wake up after nap & playtime again. Walk outdoors, fresh air, time on playmat & with sensory toys
Bath time around 5.45 - 6 & bedtime after (the girls fall asleep otherwise), Rosabella goes to bed at this time but India likes to stay up!
The girls drink around 4 4-5oz bottles per day & then another two through the night. They are reflux babies so prefer to drink little & often and they are fed on demand

I notice you don’t seem to do many sensory activities with the girls and you weren’t sure how to entertain them. I remember feeling the same around that age. I’d recommend looking up sensory baby ideas on Pinterest, putting s mirror st floor level and doing tummy time with them do they can watch themselves in the mirror, foil blanket, different materials taped to the wall or high chair table, sensory box, paddling pool, also I just bought a uv beach tent for my garden which is fab so my baby can come in the garden with me and I just put some blankets down and his play mat and he loves it. Can’t believe how big they are now they are beautiful Lucy ❤️

Hi hope you’re ok? I just wanted to say I had my daughter the same day you had the twins and I’m a first time Mum and have been getting myself in a bit of a state lately that I’m not doing things right and my daughter should be doing this and that and I should be doing more with her but I do exactly the same as you on a daily basis, tummy time, time on her play mat, sensory toys, practicing sitting up and reaching for things and a long walk in the pram. She only naps for 30mins at a time and is tired every 2 hours, I’d love her to nap for longer but she just won’t. My daughter rolls from her front to her back sometimes but hasn’t quite mastered it like your girls yet but I’ve learnt that all babies are different and do things at different times and to not be so hard on myself. Thank you for showing a real day in the life 😊😊 xxx

My twins girls are 6 months today. I am a first time Mum and have only just managed to get a routine that seems to work, within the last week. As my husband is now back at work following the easing of lockdown, it's made juggling everything easier.

Amazing how different the twins are like you said and yet you do the same things with them. And that's it, it's not a one size fits all, every baby is different. Will be so interesting to watch their personalities grow and develop as they get older, they may be twins but they could be like chalk and cheese you never know 😂 you do an amazing job and have loved watching your videos for about 3 years now ❤ Currently pregnant with another girl, whom we cant wait to meet, including her 3 year old big sister!!!
I have twin girls too! My youngest twin was an India and still is honestly when it comes to bed time! They are two now. I remember when my girls were around that age and I used to get so emotional too ❤️

No one in my family has gotten up at 8 am. What a blessing. My boys were and are up by 6:30 am. I get up at 4 am to have time and get ready.

I have had a reflux baby. It was so NOT easy. My heart goes out to you , it’s tough and your doing it with twins , so hats off to you girl . Once I started mine on solids after six months along with reflux medication that her paediatrician prescribed she got a lot better.

Thank you so much for the tip on tying a muslin on the playmat .. my 4 month old son absolutely loves grabbing and eating his muslin and I’ve just typed a patterned muslin to a loop on his play mat and chair and he is in his element ☺️❤️

Hiya Lucy, my daughter will 6 months on the 17th of June and she is the same with her bottle in the mornings! I’ve stopped giving it to her when she wakes up and waiting an hour so that she’s had time for abit of a play first! Also she hasn’t had any contact with anyone other than me and hubby for the last two months and have noticed after meeting with my parents yesterday she definitely was very wary of different people and almost scared of them! Hoping some more visits will help with her fear of other people! Lockdown with no socialisation was bound to happen 😞

Lovely video.. just an idea but maybe if your bedroom is darker then the sleeping will become easier. I found using both blackout blinds and black out curtains worked best so my babies could differentiate between night and day xx💓

We have that cube from sainsburys, my 5 month old loves it too 😍 it's also nice to see another mum put on those nursery rhymes on TV, I feel guilty sometimes but baby loves them and it means I can get stuff

Loved this vedio so much , so nice to see what other people do , my little girl is 6 months and sleeps 8pm all night , however shell only sleep 2 30min nap in the day unless we go out in the car , cant wait for the 6 month one x

Are you not weaning them yet you may find if you give them some baby rice with their milk before bed they will sleep better at night .
Foods not recommended untill baby is at least 6 months old. That's the nhs guidelines. Due to babies reflexes and digestion, unless adviced.
My little girl has been on the anti reflux milk since about 2 months ..shes now 3 months , no sick no regurge and she sleeps from 9pm to 5am I swear by the anti reflux milk :)

I wouldn’t split them if it was me, they are so used to being together, but I know what you been about them waking each other. Nightmare 🙈

My twins spit up a ton too, it stopped around 9 months (when they were sitting more etc), I also fed on demand!
My baby boy is 6 weeks older than your girls so love seeing a different routine. He is also nowhere near sleeping through 😂😂😴 tired mamas everywhere it seems!

Hi Lucy. Loved this video. I’m pregnant with twins, they are due in October and they are my first babies. I know lockdown is reducing your options at the moment but do you have any plans to attend any twin groups or do you have any friends who are twin mums? I really want to go to twin groups but I’m a bit worried about the logistics of it and whether they will get enough out of it for it to be worth it! I was so worried about how I would cope with my babies but seeing you with the girls gives me confidence so thank you xx ❤️❤️

My little boys play mat is the same, he can barely reach anything on it! I’ve started laying him on a cushion, on the play mat so he’s a little bit higher and can reach the toys!xx
