What do you suggest for a couple? Will i get shared zeep? Or if I book private car for all my rides and make stay at pehwlgam 2 nights, gulmerg(1 nigjts) srinagar 1 night, houseboat one night. And cover all these spots. Can you give me an idea about total cost?
It heart me as kashmiri when you talk that which place is safe and unsafe when there is o percent crime to outsiders.
That’s a major concern of tourists.

Road trip expenses for Kashmir total
Dear Madam,
Please guide me as I am going alone to tour Kashmir.
My questions are -
Q1) Which train from Mumbai will be best to Kashmir?
Q2) I plan to visit Kashmir in December either 1st week or 2nd week of December, will I get snowfall at this time?
Q3) Will it be Ok if I book hotel after reaching Kashmir, or should I book package from Mumbai itself?
Q4) How many days should I stay in Kashmir to enjoy snowfall and Shikara in Dal lake ? I am not interested in visiting temples as my budget is very tight i.e. only Rs. 20,000/- and wish to visit only snowfall to enjoy skiing, skating, ropeway.?
Q5) if it's ok to book hotel after reaching Kashmir then please give the name/s of those hotels who do not loot tourists.
Q6) Are there dormitories in Kashmir? If yes then what is the address and contact details?
Please reply to my questions as I am going for the first time and that too alone.
From mumbai its better to take a train to jammu and then by bus you can travel to srinagar. Snowfall is very unpredictable and depends on the weather. Its better to book in advance. Visit gulmarg to enjoy such activities and stay for min 5-6 days. Zostel have some hostel options please check their website

Hey you can get shared taxi in srinagar at the main bus stand. there are many at the local stands too.

Doodhpathri is beautiful, very beautiful, both in summer and in winter season , it is in budgam district 42 km from srinagar international airport
Online payment facility available everywhere?
Not everywhere please carry some cash too for remote areas
As per your recommendation we had booked nedous hotel but it was our worst experience.
Not even basic facility nor any hospitality and not good food.
Hey, First of all thanks for taking my recommendation into consideration. I am grateful you did that but when it comes to expectations it differs from person to person. In gulmarg after kyber resort this is the best property where even few celebrities stayed there when we were there. I am not sure what exact facilities you were expecting but with different locations, expectations should also change otherwise its hard to matchup if you compare it with a city hotel. Thanks
