The RAF base at Wethersfield is being totally refurbished for over two thousand illegals . The amount of money the Home Office is throwing at this is obscene, they have already put in a gym , a basket ball hall , and they will have a private catering company to prepare their meals and also to rub it in they will have private medical care. Forty six illegals are already in the camp the rest will arrive when all the work is completed . My cousin has cancer, and her time is limited. She has always wanted to visit Britain, and we talked about visiting for the last five years. Now that she's going downhill rapidly, we thought it would be a good time for a week's visit. With all the illegal problems, the social unrest with the illegals, and the illegals taking up hotel rooms, we've decided not to travel to Britain. It will always just be a shared dream never fulfilled.
So sad, but you have decided the right option. The UK is too dangerous now. As for your cousin best you stay home. Our NHS is non existant, only illegals get treatment.

No friends or other relatives you can stay with? Maybe a nearby Air BnB? If you are going anywhere near where there is a convent sometimes they do accommodation for income. The Bar Convent and Hotel in York is one such example, it was fabulous and the breakfasts were excellent. Think laterally beyond hotels, there will be somewbere available that is safe and near your dear cousin. It isn't the England I used to know, but parts of it out of the major areas are still beautiful and quiet. I haven't been back since 2018.

I live in the Wigan area and there are 13000 people on the housing waiting list, I rent out a 2 bed terrace and my tenant is leaving in the next 6 months. The company managing my property informed me that the council will pay the deposit and rent no problem if I put an immigrant in there. I told em I would rather leave it empty than do that.
And to add insult to injury, the council uses taxpayers' money to pay for it.
