- Riots have blazed through Paris, Marseille and Lyon, after police fatally shot 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk.
The violence comes as France reaches a tipping point after an influx of migrants over recent years.
“The heart of the problem is this parallel society that has grown up within France, the lost territories and politicians have known about this for 20 years,” The Spectator’s Gavin Mortimer told Sky News Digital Originals.
Uncontrolled immigration is a serious problem in Europe and should be addressed ASAP.

I am an lawful immigrant to the USA for 25 years. As soon as I got here I learned the language, the culture and the law. I work hard and I am respectful of my fellow Americans. I have never had any problem with law enforcement or any body. If you move to a country it is your job to get acculturated.

I'm actually amazed nothing of such scale has yet happened here in Germany, since we've been importing by far the most amount of illegal immigrants for the past 7 years. My salute to the Australian media for showing the situation and conditions in France as they are without any bias, not caring about political correctness BS.
I lived in France for a few years with my ex-girlfriend's family who was Algerian. Thankfully they were one of the (few?) that became well integrated into French culture and society when they immigrated to France, but I could definitely tell that there was a stigma (rightfully so) of anyone that looked poor and Muslim. My ex always told me to stay away from the mothers and kids asking for money or food in the subways and metros because they'd pickpocket you before you know it.
Some families, like the one I was staying with, have made an effort to appreciate the French system and way of life, but it must be very easy to cultivate feelings of hatred living in a country that has values you haven't made an effort to align to. I hope France figures out how to smooth over some of these issues soon. I can't say I enjoyed all of my stay there, but it's a beautiful country with a lot of potential that's being ruined by these alien communities.
I also believe it's hard for some people to live in France due to history. Some humans will never let that go.

As a German I can confirm it is all true. In Germany it is not as bad as in France yet, but we are on the same way. Since the refugee crises in 2015, there came about 1 million Syrians to Germany and they are still coming. After they are being accepted as refugees, they bring the whole family. There have been many violent attacks commited by syrians since. Many people in Germany have been sympathetic with the refugees at first because of the war in Syria, but now the have to realize, that muslim immigrants mostly refuse to respect western values and laws. Many are here just for the social benefits. Of course this is not tru for all immigrants, but unfurtunatly for many of them. The government does not take measures against this problem and as a result right wing parties gain ground. It is quite a scary situation. No one knows where this will end.

I am an immigrant (not in france). It should be common sense to obey the cultural norms and make an attempt to assimilate when in a new country. Although I’m still learning, I do my best to follow the rules of my host country. After all, I owe my entire livelihood to the generosity of the country that let me stay. I still often practice things from my own culture at home, and when people are curious I tell them about it, but I don’t expect others to bend to my foreign culture.

I'm an immigrant myself (Romanian in the Netherlands), and I think that going to another country implies a responsibility of trying to adapt to the culture of the place, (and trying to make it a better place even), instead of keeping the same mentality as you had home. That's why I think the best solution for immigration would be a good old sorting of people who come into the country. Are you there professionally (for work, for studies)? Ok. Are you there without any real reason? Rejected. It sounds harsh and even medieval, but it would be the best solution.

Yes, there is a problem with uncontrolled immigration, with people who end up violent once they arrive on the French soil. Also, France fails to extradite its illegal immigrants.
It is not the only issue, though, because many troublemakers are French from foreign origin, mainly North Africa. They don't feel like French and despise the country that has poured money in social welfare and in infrastructures for years in the suburbs where they live. It's not just all the previous governments that have failed to integrate these people: they don't want to integrate themselves and they hate the very hand that had been feeding them.
It is worth noting that the countries from which they originate don't have the same troubles with their youngsters: it's because they are tough and don't hesitate to severely punish crimes to have a more peaceful society.
Don't be fooled by the events of the teen who has tragically lost his life : he was well known by the Police. He was not an angel and it's easy now to paint him as a victim (he could have killed people trying to escape the Police). There are more and more thugs on the streets that are driving stolen vehicles (many without licence), try to flee the Police recklessly, are involved in drug trafficking and other crimes. These (often young) people don't respect any form of authority and are extremely violent. The Police are scared, the citizens are scared and the government is a total coward (like their predecessors). It's appalling.
Inevitably, all this will lead to more resentment toward these communities from foreign origins, and sadly even towards the good people among them. This will also only lead to more extremism, more misunderstandings and more violence. The government thinks they can buy peace by finding excuses to these criminals who once in a while get shot, but they alienate themselves all the rest of the population. Very possibly, we will have a strong right wing government next time. Or we will make a Revolution. Once in a while, we snap.

I am not so sure about Chinese and other cultures. For example, in most cities where Chinese are the majority, it looks like China, with everything in Chinese and a lot of them don't even bother to include English translation. They're exclusive of non-Chinese people and many don't even bother to learn English. It's like that with many foreigners here in the USA. They all create their own communities.

As a Swede the situation in France is extremely troubling as it could very easily happen here aswell.
Sweden is too far gone just like my country France.
We will have to rise up eventually and change laws so some of them are forced out of our countries if we want our countries not to become muslim in the next few decades.

Poland's immigration policy was smart, Poland accepting tons of Ukrainians (Nazis mostly) and planning a coup d'etat in Belarus as well as it seems a direct confrontation with Russia, is suicidal.
Poland is also asking for nuclear weapons to the US, because Russia gave protection to Belarus from them.

The 17 year old boy, a"delivery driver" did not have a driving licence, was driving a stolen car, had a long criminal record but no convictions. He was driving in a bad manner almost hitting people, refusing to stop for the police, ran from the police and then again ran at gun point. Nothing to do with racism but rather bad behavior. Sad that he had to die for his lack of respect for the police, very sad.
What did he deliver? Drugs?

At the most, This should be an issue of bad encounter...Nothing more than that. But muslims try to use this issue to materialise their enemity towards the non-islamic government. They use their regular fake victim card here also. So in this context, i would say, that killing of a revolting muslim boy was a very good reasonable thing. Bcz muslims are by their religious definition itself, are anti-nationals in any non-islamic countries. All anti-nationals must be punished severely.
