I am a first year pharm D student... It's so great to see so many pharmacists enter medicine 💊 But at the same time, I have a question that , is pharmacy not a very rewarding career right now ?? Is Medicine the only best option in healthcare??? Can clinical pharmacists make good money??? Please reply 🙏🏻
Hi! Thanks for your comment and for supporting the channel. 1. Is pharmacy a rewarding career? - Of course it is! The profession has so much to offer and I'd argue that most pharmacists are fulfilled with their job. There are certainly different types of pharmacy that can increase your risk of burnout or dissatisfaction but this is often an individual experience. I loved pharmacy and I wouldn't be where I am today without it. With that said, I wanted to have a more hands on role in patient care which ultimately prompted me to go to medical school. I will actually be making a video soon on this very topic. Stay tuned! 2. Is Medicine the best option? - This also needs to be individualized. Medicine might appear to be a great option (while I believe it is), there are certainly drawbacks such as longer training periods, increased debt, and generally longer work hours. These features need to be balanced with what kind of life you want to live! This is a great idea for yet another video. Thanks for the inspiration! 3. Can a clinical pharmacist make good money? - Without a doubt! Based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, pharmacists median salary in 2022 was $132,750 per year, or $63.82/hr. That's more than enough to live a comfortable life. If you are choosing medicine for the money, I think you are at risk of burnout! Sure, physicians get paid more, but as mentioned the work is arguably more stressful and the training period is far longer. I love medicine and I am glad I chose it, but there are certainly easier ways to make money! I hope this answered your questions and don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already. Have a wonderful day!

I am a pharmacist. I just studied the whole uni in english. Do you have an Idea where is the first step to start to look what i need to get a vacancie in the medical school. Is there any recognition of the credits hours of subjects who we just studied in the pharmacy faculty? Do I have to get a Master in Pharm D to make a transition to the medical school or is enough to have the a bachellor in Pharmacy. Please answer.
