I have hold a class B for ten years I have my twic hazmat and tanker and passenger and taxi endorsement from Utah and my passport I currently work at the airport as a bus driver./ snow plow/ cobus driver. I used to work for greyhound/ panther premium logistics

I asked for a refresher and mentor because I haven't gotten hold on a company due to the slow frieght issue in Florida. I was in a stuck boat last year and till now and I'm rusty.

I haven’t driven a semi in over 10 years. Never let my class a CDL expire or anything like that. Would I still be required to go through all the schooling or would I ride with a trainer for a refresher? Pretty sure I already know the answer but each company is different. Thank you.

Not to me. Everytime I applied she gave “new requirements” she claims I didn’t yet meet. 1st I had to have my license back for 1yr. Not only did I meet that I had 3 months experience. Then when I applied again she said I needed 6 months. I wanted to build my fleet under them however, I wonder what she’ll come up with next wen I reapply again after 1 1/2 yrs

@@JohnQuest413 i was tanker i had to do 32k miles. And it’s not only on you, when your trainer is driving that goes towards your miles as well.

I’m trying to add Hazmat endorsement. Did I already handle ELDT requirement’s since I went through prime, or do I still need to pay for a separate ELDT test (required before hazmat test at dmv)
The ELDT test is required to take during orientation. If you completed orientation with us, you can call the orientation office at 417-866-0001 to get your certificate.

If we have our CDL are we still required to do the tnt training or do we jump right into a truck?

We only have automatics unless they are special ordered by the driver.

The one we recommend is called CDL Prep.

How much off time do you get after getting Tnt miles
It is not a set time. You can work this out with your Fleet Manager.
I'm colorblind. But I would like to work as a truck driver in prime . I understand the color of the traffic lights. Is it possible to obtain a license?(I'm Japanese)
You would have to be able to pass a DOT physical. You can check the qualifications on the FMCSA website.

I already put a application in back in March. Everytime I speak with a recruiter that state they do not have any trainers available in that location. I just spoke with a recruiter today and she said that you guys will not have recruiters until August.
I just called , they told me they were backed up with training . How long does that last ?

Yes, you get the option to go back out for more training and then come back to retake the test.
I called and you guys said you arent taking any new people who have gotten their cdl from outside school.When will this change?

Correct. We can not have lease operators out of California due to the AB5 ruling.

I got my license through you all back in 2016. I’m truly grateful.
However, NO ONE should be training anyone on anything with six months experience. I didn’t train until I had four years experience. Please take this in consideration.
It’s because they bring in so much students and there’s a certain amount of drivers willing to train

Im just curious where can drivers park their personal cars when they go over the road? Obviously you cant park your truck at home when you go home.
Hello! We have designated long term parking areas at our terminals. Depending on where you live, you can take your truck home with you.
@@PRIMEINCTRUCKING I would need a place to park my personal vehicle when I'm on the road and then park the truck when I go home. Do you have terminals in Indiana or Ohio that do that?
@@gts3004 We do not. What most of our drivers do if they are not close to a terminal is they park the truck at a truck stop close to their house.

Do You Need Your Permit Before Applying ?
You do not but it does expedite the on boarding process. Our recruiters can not schedule you for orientation until you have a permit. As Heather said in the video, we do recommend the CDL Prep app to help you study for the permit test.

You would have to be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Do you guys offer paid refresher
We offer the Prime Student Driver Program to help you earn your CDL. You pay nothing for our Prime Training Program as long as you drive for Prime Inc. with your CDL for one year! It is an over-the-road training program that starts with a 3-day orientation in Springfield, MO; Pittston, PA; or Salt Lake City, UT. We would cover 3 meals per day and hotel stay during orientation. After orientation, you would train with an Instructor for 2-4 weeks with your permit. Then, you would come back to take the CDL Exam. Once you earn your CDL in the program, you'll start getting paid each week as long as you are available to drive during the 2nd phase of training. The TNT phase will typically take about 4 months over the road with a trainer to obtain a minimum of 50k training miles.
After orientation where do we stay? Hotel? Truck? Bunker?
