Great video. I was in The Villages in early March 2020 to visit my brother who purchased in Virginia Trace. Had negative ideas on the area but it is beautiful and every house and neighborhood is clean. Most villages are gated and the amenities blew me away - so much to do. Whether it’s pickle ball, tennis or swimming or the variety of group activities and clubs. There are “state” clubs like The Kentucky club that’s for Kentucky transplants in the villages who want to meet more of their home state neighbors. Music at numerous venues - prior to the Coronavirus - every night of the week! If you can afford it, it’s a nice retirement option to look into.
Underground utilities are great. No overhead wires. No poles. As the trees mature the yards won’t looks so bare. As homogeneous as theses neighborhoods appear I see the appeal of not living next door to a lazy hoarder type neighbor with multiple cars stacked up in the driveway. Keep this in mind too, for those of you with all the negative “too boring/too plain” comments: people who enjoy clean and tidy surroundings aren’t bad or boring or sad, they are busy doing other things. They aren’t home because they are at the clubhouse teaching a class, learning Italian, shooting pool, playing bridge, knitting hats for drug-addicted premies, packing their days with satisfying activities. But what they are not worrying about is if they need to add bars to their windows. Or getting a ring video doorbell to catch the neighborhood porch pirate. Or wondering about that strange unmarked van parked across the street. Bottom line: a plain and simple life is not boring, it’s liberating.

The only thing that bothers me is the lack of trees. It’s so bland. They bulldozed all the beautiful trees and native plants when they created this place. Shame. That said, a premier home for 1.5 million like the one in Florida is about 4 -5 million here in Palm Springs California in a gated golf community. But Palm Springs/La Quinta area has mountains (Santa Rosa mountain range) and is much prettier than flat Florida.
Sun City Center, FL is vastly superior to this. You have many different homes throughout the area. And they’re not all jammed in together like this...........SMH. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Where are the floorplans so you can see the layouts? Do you own the land or required to rent the land? Are there basements? Your video doesn't answer many questions nor is it very informative.
Great video and information. I'm a little confused on the square footage for Designer homes. You listed Designer as 1300 to 2100 sq. ft. while the Veranda homes are 2200 to 3300 sq.ft. Is that right?
These folks better pray a strong wind gust doesn't come cause these homes look flimsy as all fetus especially those patio villas. They look cheaply made too.
Wyn Naylor Pulte Gomes in Del Webb are made with concrete block and stucco and, except for roofs are hurricane resistant. 2 x4 stick homes with vinyl siding blow apart in hurricanes, even with metal reinforcement brackets on all exterior joints. The Villages homes are way overpriced for middle of nowhere lots and cheesy construction. Examine homes just as much as lifestyles. Only a small percentage of people remain active after a couple years in any active adult community. The snowbirds run wild, but full time residents basically enjoy their homes most of the time.

Hi Gio, I just found your UA-cam Channel by accident, and I just subscribed. Thank you for the tour of The Villages and the different home styles. I hope to move there in a few years.
you are going to love it
@@GioEspino I have visited The Villages several times since my friend bought a home there about 7 years ago. I was just in The Villages about 6 weeks ago. So much new construction going on!
Don't we will hate you.
Where are some trees and landscaping. Doesn’t do much for me.
Is there a rule against parking cars in your driveway?
The whole Community is deed restricted that means you can't paint your house you can only have one car in the driveway you cannot park a boat or an RV you're not allowed to park in the street if you want to put up a certain tree you have to get permission from the board... when you move in they give you a folder with about 30 pages of nothing but rules....lol
Kittymom99 yep
@@melbourne-heat.69-71 ain't it great !! Otherwise the neighborhood would look like most of the ones in America that have the trash and broke down vehicles in the driveways, And people living in campers in the streets.. etc. etc.
Rules do a neighborhood good !!!
Wow...many very rude people watched this informational video...if you don’t like this type of living don’t buy one. No need for rudeness and even insults to the 80,000 residents who live there.

No they have dogs and cats!! This guy even mentioned the gated backyards for pets earlier in the video. And I personally know of a young retired couple who has a Dachshund here. Idk how rumors get started.

dogs and cats permitted but probably can only have up to a certain number (ie. 2 dogs- just guessing) but not a great place for a active large dog.
Siegrid Thomas There are dogs, cats and plenty of humans. Very strict rules too.
Is there a place in the Villages where I could buy a large lot and not have to live in a cookie cutter shack?
I am an Amateur Radio Operator and need at least an acre of Land for my Antennas . I also have 60 foot and 90 foot Communication towers with multiple directional antennas on them that rotate 360 degree. Is there any section of the Villages that have an area set aside for this . I am retired and do this just about all day everyday in between my regular house stuff . This has been my passion since 1965 ... Thank you
sparky42 no, you cannot have any of that......they don’t even want your cable dish showing!
ARE YOU KIDDING??
Looks like Queens ny. Could the houses be any closer together. Grossly overpriced.
Lol I grew up in queens, didn't see anything like this.
Looks boring...I have 2 cousins living there...but all they do is golf....we don’t golf.
No trees?
I'd rather have a humble little shack in the woods than have to live in a place like this. Looks depressing and lifeless.
Ok, I watched and the Patio Homes there was not one automobile i. A driveway..lol is that a No No...
I hate the outdoor gas or whatever it is, it's ugly. Every other house has some metal BS on the property, in the middle of the grass
Beyond cookie cutter. And the prices! I thought 60k maybe 70. 161,000? No style or charm . It really is true in 2020 America Ugly is the new beautiful.
Wow, these look awesome, what are the taxes on these? Like to see plans on each home offered.
Videos from Jerry and Linda, who bought last year and moved to The Villages from their home in Indiana, have three videos out discussing the taxes, HOA’s, average monthly electric, water, sewer, garbage/recycling collection, lawn care (if hired out), golf fees, etc
Look up the UA-cam channel The Villages Newcomers. They talk about the expenses associated with the properties. You also see their dog, Gizmo....for all those that think there are no pets. They also video the older village neighborhoods where the trees and landscapes are more mature. And Silvio can finally satisfy his need for recent that yes, there are some manufactured homes in the older sections.
Silvio Manuel yes, there are trailers and manufactured homes in the older sections of the villages....feel better now?
Was this the inspiration for the phrase "Cookie Cutter"...
The background music is bothersome.
Not one person outside.Where is everyone?
Inside. It's too hot to be outside!
It's daytime, the walking dead must only come out at night!
The houses are cookie cutter and the lots are so tiny. Does anyone in the Villages know the word architect???
Depressing, no sign of joy or humanity.
That's what I thought too...it looks depressing!

virg loh there’s a pre-owned cottage style home right now for sale in the villages 1 bedroom 1 bath 1 car garage listed at $130,000
There are preowned manufactured homes on the Historic Side of The Villages. Some are priced under $130K.

Where s the historic district
You left it out !
@@paulettewcain-israel3003 The Historic Side are the 3 villages of Silver Lake, IOrange Blossom Gardens and Country Club Hills. These are the 3 original villages started in the early 1980's. They are off of Highway 441/27, near Spanish Springs Town Square.
They are two expensive for us
These are manufactured and framed houses you can get either kind and manufactured housing nowadays is built to HUD standards that are more strict than the old stick Built Homes. Elizabeth Shaw Prefab homes are nice, most of the time you can’t tell the difference.
@@clairemarie8771 Yes but not for that kind of money.
Why not come to Florida after the next hurricane and see these homes in pieces.....?
Hi Gio,quick question,do we own the land the house sits on.
Ralph Salvati you NEVER own anything. As long as you pay taxes, you own nothing!
Terrible landscaping is bare. Ugh!
If you are not on the coast, you are nowhere in Florida.
Do any have private pools?
Ann Marie Stefanuk yep, but you have to follow the rules of having one......if it isn’t already in.
Stepford. Creepy
No trees just bushes brrr
Looks like a trailer park.
It looks like a large waiting room for death.
Where are the floorplans so you can see the layouts? Do you own the land or required to rent the land? Are there basements? Your video doesn't answer many questions nor is it very informative.

No trees? Yuk!
I have seen them...they are cheaply made like mfg homes and many were built in a factory and brought there on trucks.
you have to have money to live here.
because you will find many, many fees you MUST pay.
I hear they are building apartments now is this true ?
That is true, they already started, they are building close to Brownwood square
The Lofts of Brownwood is what the apartments are called. The Villages sales office released a video a few days ago with status update. Phase I is scheduled to open Summer of 2020.
Laura Lampe thank you Laura
Do you know what the price range is? I personally think the homes are overpriced for the middle of Florida, especially if you don't play golf.
@@colliecoform4854 Homes in The Villages range from $120's to $1 million.
Why would you pay $500K for a house 25 feet from your neighbor with no yard? why do the $$$ homes have 50 sq yards of driveway and why would these folks want a 4 bedroom house? I don't get it. I'm 63 and like my 1/2 acre I mow every week on my Craftsman rider.
