    Restoring is not putting your logo, it is leaving it as it was made in its day, greetings ⚡🇪🇸🇮🇨👍

    Amazing how you restored that old electric bell, whether it is a school bell or a fire alarm. It still looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.

    This bell was probably made in the UK in the 1970's or 80's. Nice work, except for the logo.

    Hello from the Canary Islands Spain, the school bell cannot be 60 years old, I say this because the power terminals are too modern 🇪🇸🇮🇨🫂👍

      Полностью с Вами согласен. Ему не может быть 60 лет. И это действительно пожарная сигнализация, легко читается надпись FIRE

    A “fire” bell ~ all fire alarm systems started with these as their “alarms” in the 50s & 60s, before being replaced with/installed with new installations - the piezo sounder in the 80s

    I think this is an old fire alarm, not a school bell. Great work, indeed.

      It says "FIRE" right on the label. So, you are probably right.

    Problemas na preparação e aplicação da massa não tirou as imperfeições. Mudou a cor do objeto e na sequência as características não restaurou.

    It is necessary to improve your restorations, the logo on the device was supposed to be like the original.

    Stay true to the craft. It's a "Fire Alarm Bell" not a school bell. You Insulted all of us in the fire service by misrepresenting the device. I am a retired firefighter with 32 years of service. 😢😢

    Why go through all the time & effort to use rust & paint removal if you're just gonna media blast it anyway? Seems unnecessary & rather redundant. Plus, all that putty will definitely stifle the ring of the bell. I mean, really, why? The longer I watched this, the worse it got. I finally had to give up at the spray painting part. Enough. . .

    • @norith4300
      @norith4300 Місяць тому +1

      So that the paint and dirt etc doesn't get mixed with whatever sandblasting compound he's using. Tons of restoration channels strip the parts first then usually only blast for whatever is remaining. It's quite common and gives their blasting material more life. That's the only explanation I can think of.

    • @TerryProthero
      @TerryProthero 15 днів тому

      @@norith4300
      If the paint contains lead, they want to strip that first. Otherwise the lead paint can become airborne, and you might breathe it in. Other than that, I don't see the point. It's a lot of time spent on needless steps. I see some of them using multiple rust removing steps just to media blast or to clean it with a wire brush. I just don't get it. Maybe it's something like what you are saying. But that seems really not worth it for the time spent. And it's not just for media blasting but with use of a wire brush too. They couldn't just go straight to that step? Very strange.
