Shot over 4 month, travelling through amazing landscapes, sleeping under the stars, hiking on mountains and exploring remote roads. Locations in this video where at Fjordland NP, Mount Cook NP and Arthurs Pass NP, Mavora Lakes and Lake Ohau.

It's not "like heaven" ... It actually IS heaven! It's right there just in front of your frontdoor.
Only humans make it to a hell ... We should finaly wake up and stop doing that.
I love living in Florida. The ocean, gulf, the Keys, lakes rivers and the springs. I truly feel fortunate to have been born in the state and country I am in.
I have never been to NZ. But have read a lot on the history, looked at pictures and watched videos about the far away country in the secluded corner of the world. All through a screen on my computer or a TV. And I can't believe how much I want to live there! If I didn't have such a great family and friends here, moving to NZ would be my top priority in life.
Oh I wish I was just born there... :-)

Isn't it funny? The most memorable places, the places we most admire are those who are rarely touched by our urge of territorial expansion....
There's a great saying I've first heared in The Expanse; "We had a garden and we paved it".
I am a New Zealander, and I love my country very much. I have never seen these sites or even the very beautiful stunning night sky quite like that before. One would imagine it is the west coast of the South Island. Martin Heck has been exceptionally lucky to have filmed such stunning scenery of New Zealand. Thank you Martin for the lovely video you have filmed for all to see. :)
Can't stop watching this movie. This stunning scenery combined with Hans Zimmer. I'll walk the Te Araroa in October till March. Hope to some of this places.

Since I am 12 years old, my biggest dream was it, to come to New Zealand.
I'm laying here in my bed, in Australia, 24 years old on the edge of forfilling this dream, not knowing how long I'm gonna stay, thinking about my family, about the journey I had so far and the one which lays ahead..
And than I see this video.. And cry.. And know.. That I belong to this place.

This is the best video I've seen in my life
Looks gorgeous on my 4k television!
I've seen a lot of time-lapses, really good ones at that, so many in fact that they had begun to lose their wow factor, and I was thinking maybe they were becoming a bit over done. And then there is this stunning creation, this masterful capture of light that leaves me floored by it's beauty, that makes me wish I had a 4k screen.
This inspired me to do a 4K time lapse in my country, Australia

NZ is my homecountry. Since I'm eight I am living in Germany. Germany is a great pleace to live If you like a good job, education, money and wonderful girls. But If you like to enjoy your Life and happynes you are right in NZ. I am 16 and i know what i want when I am old i will come back to NZ. But today I won't Go away from Germany.
We always seek new places, new people, new adventures. But in the end, we're standing alone on the edge - ready to jump. Ready

I was born in Germany and 2 years ago I traveled to NZ to backpack around the country. I truly love the nature and culture but I have to say that Germany is my first real love. I will never leave the country but will come back to NZ one day

Google Chrome funnily doesn't show the 4k option in UA-cam. Firefox does

Martin Heck ive looked at the video on chrome and firefox. I'm only seeing the 1080p option.
hmcindie just watched in 4k on chrome, no problems here.
If you watch it via elsewhere (i.e embedded video in Facebook), you will get the 4k option.
If I watch it in youtube directly, I only get up to 1080p.
