Marianne Faithful DIDN’T turn down “Yesterday”, she turned down a 1968 Lennon/McCartney song called “Etcetera” that ended up released as a brass band instrumental called "Thingumybob" by the Black Dyke Mills Band. Marianne recorded and released “Yesterday” as a single in 1965. Her version spent a month from October to November in the UK top 100 chart that year. Though an obvious choice for a massive hit, Paul FAMOUSLY DIDN'T keep the song for himself, he brought it to The Beatles who ALSO recorded ‘Yesterday”, under the Lennon/McCartney credit, in 1965. Their version was released on the album Help! in August, 6 weeks before Marinnne's version. Paul chose not to release the song as a single in the UK to prevent media speculation it indicated a forthcoming McCartney solo career and emphasize the unity of the band. It's actually a HUGE damn issue in the history of the band. Why are you splatting gobs of misinforming falsehoods over the news of Marianne's sad death? You're just compulsive liars who need a fix? Clicked off and will warn others about this account.
Two questions: Who are all the women sitting around the table with the members of the Beatles? And at 1:07, is that Paul Kantner in the big eyeglasses? R.I.P. Marianne
That photo was taken when the Beatles and their wives/girlfriends were in Bangor with the Maharishi. Pattie Boyd, her sister Jenny, Cynthia, Jane Asher and John, Paul, George and Ringo.
Whenever a video like yours shows up, there is ALWAYS either fake photos and/or WRONG INFORMATION. Your video is wayyyyy off. Just watching 0:28 of it, it is full of bullcrap.
So fine words off Paul McCartney ❤❤❤to Marianne😢😢R.I.P.❤❤

I agree with you. I reported this video as MISLEADING and gave it a thumbs DOWN
I was hoping for some new comments from Paul McCartney. This is all second-hand information expressed third party.

Not sure about the 2 guys in glasses, but I think the one between McCartney and Marianne is Peter Asher.
Just located the original photo and I was right about Peter Asher. The guy you're asking about is John Dunbar.
im a loser on rubber soul lol wtf
