If yall are gonna explore the places be careful due to trespassing, drug activity, high population of homeless in these areas. Or if you are at the cemetery announce to the spirits that they are not welcome to follow you home, that they must stay, or else they will follow you.

I grew up in a haunted house in stratford, heavy footsteps in the attic throughout the night, running up and down the basement stairs at night, sounds of chains being dragged in the basement. One time me, my mom, and sisters were all in the kitchen and we saw our dog in the dining room growling at one of the bedroom doors that was open and out of nowhere she got dragged into the room and we all went running in their and she ran out and we saw nothing and it was just dead silent from shock

I grew up in a very haunted house in Norwalk. Running footsteps, banging on the wall over night, things moving, you name it. I've talked to the new family that moved in after us and they said that they didnt know what I was talking about. I personally grew up in Fairfield County (Redding to be exact) and I can confirm that Danbury also has a fair number of haunted places. Also I recently reread my copy of Weird New England and a detail that escaped me is the number of places with the word Devil inserted into the name. Apparently Redding has its own place with that word incorporated into the name. Also I visited Union Cemetery (during the day) to take a few photos for a photography class years ago. I didn’t capture any images of a lady in white on my camera although I did capture an orb while I was taken a photo of two tombstones in a church graveyard in Redding. Funnily enough as far as I know Redding only has one haunted hot spot (along a stretch of road in Redding drivers have sworn they seen the spirits of Revolutionary War soldiers) and I never dared trespass the property that contains the remnants of Stormfield to see if Mark Twain’s ghost roams the ruins. So I think Redding actually has at least two haunted locations.

I lived in a house in Plymouth, CT. On minor road, built back in around the mid 1700s, definitely, a presence or several there. The minors were friends of the family, and many people including myself have had experiences there. A door by my bed would open by itself, and you could feel a presence come in the room. Many years before, a friend of the minors was staying there. When she woke up in the middle of the night, a man and woman was standing at the foot of the bed, then they disappeared. I was outdoors 1 summer afternoon, and you could sense somebody watching me. But nobody was home.

And the best part is that they barely mentioned the poor guy and their is a carving of a wagon wheel on top of the old tombstone. Also, their is a 1700's home where a man used an axe on his wife.

As a person who grew up in Connecticut (Fairfield County to be exact) I can confirm that Connecticut has a ton of haunted locations especially Hartford. Surprisingly Putnam Park (named after Israel Putnam) doesn’t have any stories about hauntings linked to it which strange since it was occupied during the Revolutionary War that I know of at least. Also we have melon heads, frog people (Bethel is said to be where they come together and I had a guidance counselor in High School who swore she saw one), the leatherman (who actually passed through my hometown of Redding and was a real person as there is a photo of him on my hometown’s webpage) etc. Basically if it involves something humanoid and bizarre we have a version of it or else an exact copy.

Kids in town began to visit the tunnels. But they heard moans, screams, voices! Even people who go there to laugh this off run off terrified!
In Middlefield on Hubbard street there is an area where the woman in black is seen. This is no joke. I lived near there. I’m telling you, the people who’ve seen her have been traumatized. The sky in that area is always dark! I’m not kidding! I haven’t lived there for over 40 years, but I’m serious, before that I can tell you, no one would go out to that area for fear that they’d see her.
She was dressed as a woman in clothes from the 1800s. She’d be walking. She’d have a blank expression on her face. Then, she’d just disappear! That may not sound too weird but the strange atmosphere coupled with her appearance, it terrified those who saw it.

And let me tell you something else cuz I grew up in Bridgeport in the 80s a lot of people got bodied in that place they put Jersey barriers in the street and you had to walk down the block father panic PT Barnum Trumbull gardens aka the terrace the greens bro do a story about the Jamaicans in the diner on State Street that chopped off five people's heads and rolled them out in the middle of the street all about controlling a neighborhood the only way your car was safe if you had a crown in the Bible in the back window anybody from the port knows what I'm talking about that picture you got right there that's the shot Tower used to make buckshot bird shot they pumped molten led to the top out of a sprinkler head by the time it hit the bottom it was cooled into a pellet the reason that still standing is because there's a lot of telecoms attached to the top and considering an average payout of $5,000 or more a month per antenna yeah it's going to be there a while why don't you talk about the top secret bunker Network that's up in the woods that no one's ever been in that has secret security driving around in the middle of the night to protect the deer 10-ft barbed wire fence that runs 10 miles round look on Google maps you'll see it right above the new Harding high School they built that school as a ploy to expand the existing Network hydro fracking tunnels all the equipment was visible from satellite as well as the complaints from the neighbors who have never had any type of flooding in history now have feet of water in the basement they pump the pond dry so they brought in humongous bladders that tanker trucks filled up you can see the amount of material removed as it is adjoined to the baseball field behind the graveyard that mound is tens of thousands of cubic yards of dirt let alone what they used to grade the property they fracked it down from pipes that ran down to the small damn that's right in front of Boston Ave the old entrance to the GE plant you'll see a little dam 🦫 and the train tracks that used to run to the power plant they had a floating barge with a dredge they pumped the fract soil and dredged it as it settled in the pond to dump trucks that drove to that massive pile you can see the tire tracks I have screenshots from years ago my grandfather walked in those woods and he was the chief of the fire department and had to make a plan in case there was a fire how they would respond they used to test artillery shells back there you'll see that little front building that's a joint to it used to be Dictaphone through the 90s then what do you know Sikorsky aircraft heavy lift operations moves in and they're using the bunker networks how do you think they developed that Blackhawk that took out bin laden you ask anybody that lives near there from 1998 to about 2010 you could not get cell phone service near the facility there was so much EMF if you don't believe me just ask or maybe go out there yourself hop the fence and see how quickly you get rounded up I mean it's just an empty 500 acres of land that has no cut through road that this city was asking for in the early 2000s they put that to bed real quick they don't want anyone even f****** close to that facility if you don't believe me cuz I'll give you my personal phone number and I'll bring you out there myself I'll show you the property and you can ask all the people you want around there look at it it'll make a way better story than this one

I, like may others, have been inside the hospital. And also just about every one of the former Doctors homes I could get into.
Shame kinda, they could have turned the Dr housing area into section 8 homes.
They were dated with some sweet old appliances and furnaces.
Definitely would have needed updates. But they were too of the line when built.

My house in milford is haunted to the point things go missing and then show back up weeks later. People have seen a guy in the doorway or windows. You will hear someone walking but no one will be up or home with you. My son has found hide scrapers a hammerhead and pottery from the colonial times
