It was after reading the Book of Mormon that I fell in love with America and her history and her divinely appointed constitution and mission. Love this message, thankyou.
We love you President Callister and have you in our prayers. I appreciate all your hard work in sharing the gospel and scripture knowledge you have gained with the rest of us. You are an amazing man!
This is an important gift, especially with Constitution Day coming up on the 17th of September. I have met Tad Calister in person and gifted him one of my Book of Mormon pins, he was gracious, and I felt a righteous presence of integrity as we enjoyed one another.
What a powerful message, inspired by God. May we all do in our power to preserve freedom and this great land of the United States of America. Thank you, Tad, my friend, for all you do to move and inspire others to remember...
I add my testimony to that of Elder Tad Callister that the words he spoke are true. I know that we will be protected as long as we (America) stays righteous and obedient to God the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ! This is a divine land and the early leadership of this country were lead by the spirit to gain this nation of freedom! We must be a righteous people and obey God. Let us all pray and have gratitude to the Lord and commit ourselves to Him for the cause of freedom.and that which is right. .
This morning when I awoke, I read a chapter of the Book of Mormon. The chapter I felt to read was Alma 48. Afterward, I went to check if the internet was working by trying to watch a video. This is the video I clicked. God has been working to protect the liberty of God-fearing people in this land since the days of Moroni.
What a total gem, brother Calister. Thank you. Only visted twice to USA, to SLC. YOU HAVE A MOST WONDERFUL COUNTRY. Do not let it be ripped apart in wrestlings of wicked men May you livenity in love for one another, must be. God be with you. 🇬🇧
Wonderful video! I appreciate that it recognizes that the Book of Mormon prophets saw the future of the "Promised Land" of America. I sincerely hope Scripture Central is starting to see North America as the land of the Book of Mormon as taught by the prophets who lived here and taught the Prophet Joseph Smith, and as Joseph then taught.
I'm so thankful that there are some politicians who are working on behalf of the people -- trying to protect our Constitution and our democratic processes that make freedom possible. We need to vote and to advocate more wisely. Christianity (and other religions) can teach us to love our neighbors and the strangers and outcasts in our midst, and seeking the good for all, we will seek liberty and justice for all.
Feeling so grateful for this beautiful, God-given land in which I live. May I continue to serve God all my days to show my gratitude for the freedoms which I enjoy🙏
Wow! Lately, it’s about time that someone higher up in the Church reminded all of us that our great United States of America was founded by God through the Founding Fathers! Yes, the Book of Mormon testifies of this, but in this day and age of negativity and pessimism concerning America, America has become so needy for a message like this!!! …Thank you dearly, Brother Callister!!!
If someone was to give you a most beautiful gift that was their life work and your response was that it has a couple minor things you think are flaws and blame the maker then what kind of recipient are you. I love the Book of Mormon.
We learn about the flaws (and the atrocities), understanding that God works with flawed humans, so that we can avoid making the same kinds of mistakes ourselves, and so that we can realize more fully the aspirations expressed in the founding of our country.
LOVE this! ❤️ I love God and I love my country! Thank you to any and ALL who stand up and fight for the FREEDOMS that are out God Given RIGHT! STAND with courage where you are! even if you have to stand alone...
"This is very nice, but what concerns me is what was left unspoken, and what is often overlooked - the costs outside the church. Many Christians seem to believe that worshiping God is enough, and that He will take care of everything. They appear to skip the crucial part, just as these remarks did, that the liberty spoken of came at the cost of blood, sweat, and tears - not just prayers and worship. While the pictures did provide glimpses of this, there were not enough words to truly emphasize it. The costs to arrive at this point included entering the political arena and advocating for upholding the commandments of God and His values as a nation. These costs involved voting, speaking up, and being willing to express one's views, even when facing opposition. The costs encompassed physical combat and, far too often, the shedding of blood and loss of life. Even in LDS scripture, most of the former "good guys" meet destructive ends. I hope Christians do not overlook this significant price tag until it's too late."
Great sermon. When you visit your optometrist, ask them for a frame (e.g. Oakley) for a high bridge. I.e. your glasses rides too high on your nose which renders most of your lenses useless. God bless.
Beautiful, thank you! One request: less prominent music please; it’s very exhausting for this of us who are hard of hearing to have the music competing for primacy over the spoken dialogue. Thanks for all you guys do!
Only one problem with this oh so inspired patriotic tribute to America, is that it conveniently leaves out the rest of America and all it's amazing history. When Nephi spoke of the promise land he wasn't just referring to the United States of America, but to the entire American continent. The gentiles whom Nephi saw vexing his seed and that of his brethren were the Spanish conquistadores who colonized the whole of Mexico, Central and South America. The English pilgrims did not so much as set foot on American soil until more than a century later. This US centric LDS view of the promise land really falls short of the true destiny and prophetic purpose which God has in store for the land of Zion.
The Gentiles in America who are the descendants of Noah’s son Japheth were foretold in Noahs Curse of Ham’s son Canaan. The curse was two fold. The second part of the curse was: “Japheth (Europeans) will be enlarged and dwell in the tents of Shem (Native Americans) and Canaan (African Americans) will be his (Japheth) servant”. This was fulfilled with the transatlantic slave trade. Words written long ago being fulfilled in America.
@@napaljarrinappaljarri5175 land was already promised to the Natives, who are true descendants of Eber. The Europeans are Gentiles. Refer to the table of nations in Genesis.
Brother Callister, many members of the church who reside outside the US are appalled every time we are forced to listen to another inane lecture on the sanctity of your country. Most of us do not believe the US or its constitution is or was divinely inspired and certainly do not see it as a force for good. As a student of the Book of Mormon myself I do not see in its pages anything that would lead me to believe the US is the shining beacon you try to portray it as. I could make an excellent case it is part of the great and abominable church as it provided a government that allowed the murder of our prophets and allowed the saints to be driven from their homes. Your message is cringe-worthy with no scriptural basis. Although most founding fathers were Christian, most like my ancestor, Thomas Jefferson, did not believe in God the way you would like to have us believe. The founding fathers were adamant that the US would be a secular country with no state religion. I don't know how revisionist history becomes truth but I guess if you say it often enough it must be true.
Constitution Day is September 17. Thank you, Tad R. Callister.
Inspirational message. We’re always eager to hear from Tad Callister.
Thank you for being brave enough to share this message!
