Hey there, it's Charlotte Dobre and welcome back to my channel! In today's video, we're going to be talking about one of the latest TikTok trends that has taken the internet by storm: dumb ways to die TikToks.
If you're not familiar with the trend, it's pretty simple. People are creating videos that showcase different "dumb" ways to die, often with a comedic twist. From slipping on a banana peel to trying to catch a falling knife, these videos are all about showing off some of the most ridiculous ways someone could meet their end.
But why are these TikToks so popular? Well, I think it's because they're a lighthearted way to acknowledge the fact that we all make silly mistakes from time to time. Plus, they're just plain funny!
In this video, we're going to be taking a closer look at some of the best dumb ways to die TikToks out there. I'll be sharing my favorites and giving you some insight into why they work so well. We'll also be talking about the impact that this trend has had on social media and what it says about our culture as a whole.
So, grab a snack and settle in because we're about to take a deep dive into the world of dumb ways to die TikToks. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button and ring the bell so you never miss a new video from me. Let's get started!

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

The Dumb Ways to Die song has so much nostalgia for me. The irony of the original song being created to try to raise awareness for train track safety and now it being used a decade later in a tiktok trend where people do dumb things that could’ve gotten them killed is not lost on me. It’s kind of like a metaphor for the”train wreck” that is tiktok.

Is that the name of the song? I have to look this up and hear the whole thing!
Yes, I live under a rock so there's so much I've never heard or know about. Actually, I live ON a rock, my house sits on a granite dome on 20 acres in a valley, halfway up a mountain. I haven't been down the hill to go to town in a month, hope the town hasn't floated away in all the rain here in SoCal.
I might eventually be a "dumb way to die". Last night a mountain lion tried to get inside my goat pen, yet again, so I started to go outside to scare it away but my adult son stopped me; "Have you lost your effing mind?"
I stood on the porch with my very loud siren and megaphone and told it to leave. It did, but if that cat ever figures out I'm just an old lady I might be toast!
A month ago I tripped over a box in my bathroom because I didn't want to turn the light on and wake my parrot. I forgot I was cleaning out cabinets earlier and put everything in a big box in the middle of the floor. I fell hard, tore my right rotator shoulder cuff, parrot was screaming "NOT RIGHT NOW!" which is what he says when my cat menaces him. My dog was barking at my bedroom door like mad, and it woke my son up.
I put a motion sensor battery light in my bathroom now.
      I'm an idiot.

The first week they kept me in the hospital, and with the pain and meds, I did not really use my phone much other then keeping my family updated and bedtime ASMR later in the week to try and get some actual sleep in the hospital. Once I was allowed to go home on the second week I used it a bit more to help me sleep. Then on the third week I was using it to distract me when I had to wait for meds to kick in, each morning, laughing was definitely super painful but I am not a big laugher so I just watched videos like they were a do not laugh challenge. @@erikarussell1142 I'm praying for you! I can't even imagine the pain you live with daily. I hope you have supportive friends and family. For me, it's my pets who keep me going.
I tried to get disability too, but was denied. I have trigeminal neuralgia and clinical depression since childhood, but that wasn't enough for SSI. TN is not on the list of disabilities because it's rare and not understood very well, but should be. It causes severe pain attacks in the face, like a sudden jolt of electric shock delivered by an ice pick shoved into my cheekbone.
I had brain surgery in 2010 which has helped the pain be less intense. I'm unemployable because I don't know when an attack will hit, and I can't help but yelp in pain when it happens. Air conditioning and bright fluorescent lighting often triggers it, so that counts out most workplaces. At home, I have no AC, and I put duct tape over the 2 light switches to the overhead fluorescent lights in my kitchen so no one can accidently switch them on.
My husband of 15 years left me in 2015 because he was sick of me being sick, and strangely I have fewer pain attacks now. Hmmm, looks like stress is another trigger for nerve pain!

It also reminded me of 2 things: 1) I think it was Milton Burl (probably not) who said that the reason we laugh at a grandma falling down is because it's not our grandma and 2) the many times I've just done things out in the wild that could have gotten me seriously injured because I wasn't really paying attention. They don't target humans on purpose.

Every ex teaches us a lesson. If not a few. Every ex taught me very valuable lessons. What I want, and don’t want; what I deserve, and don’t deserve; what I need, and don’t need. Everyone stumbles their way through life, what’s important is what you do with it, and how you use those experiences. And those experiences, will often lead you to a much better person. Enjoy the ride, don’t sweat the small stuff. And if they choose to be without you, then they’re obviously small stuff. Too small for you. As someone with a crippling fear of heights..... the parachuting one gave me serious anxiety but it's not what it seems. It's called static tower training and is actually to teach them how to LAND. The parachute is deployed throughout and the descent is controlled and the person on the end is supposed to land as instructed, fall and roll.
For an excellent demonstration of this, check out the classic war film 'Carve Her Name With Pride'.
