    Just came back from RS, great runs, great vibe, fun bars, and really good food. Had a blast. Thanks Ikon Pass for adding this, never would have thought to go, just a great time. Not really a good hill for beginners BTW but if you ski local black/blue no problem. Now back to So Cal reality.

    Unreal video dude. A lot of people go to Revy and never check out that entire back area. This whole bowl, plus the glades underneath ripper chair, are the best shredding I've ever had

    Love the vid and energy fellas. Buddy and I are heading to Red for the week then gonna check out Rev. Where abouts did you build that ramp? North/Greely bowl? Looks like you found the ideal terrain for a good launch and landing!

    Revy is a great mountain so it is too bad that they installed a flawed lift system that doesn't do a very good job of spreading out skiers and boarders and even worse, the lift system does not address the extremely low base elevation. Reliable season long skiing in B.C. starts at about 4,000 ft asl but Revy's base is at 1,690ft asl. They need a chair that loads around the 4,000ft level.

    Just subscribed. Great film. How long is the hike from the top to the North/Greely bowl?

    • @pointandsend
      @pointandsend  3 роки тому

      North Bowl --- the 8 minutes maybe. To get over to Greely there's a bit of a nasty traverse with some pushing once you reach the end of the traverse typically. That's probably another 5 minutes. Not bad at all

  • @calvinloney5996
    @calvinloney5996 4 роки тому +1

    is hiking to the peak still inbounds or considered backcountry. ie need avy gear?

    • @pointandsend
      @pointandsend  4 роки тому +1

      Still inbounds --- there's access to some backcountry lines up there though farther down that people will go to, but that's an avy gear must area. But ya, up to sub peak, inbounds still

    amazing video. really highlites some great terrain. looks like you have to hike a lot to get to the best terrain. is there anything good available off of the lifts? i would be happy to hike once or maybe even twice per day, but anymore, and it would take away from the awesomeness of the resort.

    • @pointandsend
      @pointandsend  Рік тому

      there's tons off the lifts. like tons

    • @jaytabac6525
      @jaytabac6525 Рік тому

      @@pointandsend i only see one lift that accesses the higher terrain, and even with that, you still have to climb to get to all of those double blacks !! I am not 100% sure, but it seems that Revelstoke may have the most terrain with the least amount of lifts anywhere that i have been.

    • @pointandsend
      @pointandsend  5 років тому +1

      Ya, I've taken my AST and have gear --- LESS (not zero though) of a concern on resort, as long as you obey the closures and stay inbounds. The one big thing I would definitely recommend is riding with a friend. Treewells are definitely a thing there and not to be trifled with

    • @rounaks6519
      @rounaks6519 5 років тому

      Thanks. It's the Drop-in zone that seems very tempting to us, since we pretty much just have groomed runs here. Never really skiied through true pow. Thanks for the heads-up on the tree wells.

  • @michelleslater8894

    You're right - it's 'off the hook' epic - but I would have said it was more of a skiier than a 'borders' paradise - so many cat tracks for you guys :) - anyways agreed it's next level and THE place to go in the northern hemi if you're searching for snow and steep and deep terrain .. another tip...if you're only there for a week, hook up with a local or regular who skies there often to help you get the best of it :)
