I think what I love most about her is not only that she's talented but she's amazing for the sport. You can never not love seeing her get interviewed because she's just so graceful , humble and always looks amazing. She will be around for a very long time . You would think she's had Years of experience in this sport the way she carries herself and the way she talks. You can tell she was raised well . What a great spirit
Sydney is extremely talented, polished, accomplished and great spokesperson for the sport! I can't wait to see her take on the open 400M. I also would love to see Sydney, Athing, Britton, Abby and/or Talitha on the 4 X 400M relay. They can challenge the world record. 👏 👌 ❤️
Sydney is clearly embracing her role as one of the faces of the sport. Smart, articulate, gorgeous, and an absolute BEAST of an athlete. I hope she runs until she's 35.
@Marc de Groot Yeah, you're probably right. I can still dream though 😁. Allyson Felix made it back after having a baby in her 30's and Sydney is a better athlete than she was. Who knows? World records, gold medals, she may accomplish everything she wants by 30. I just think she's good for the sport.
As an old 400m hurdler, I'm in awe of her accomplishments. But Sydney is also a GREAT ambassador for the sport -- not just the face, but ACTIVELY promoting our beloved sport. Hats off to Sydney!
Great interview. Odd tie in.....I am from L.A. and moved to N. Jersey in 1962 and attended Syd's HS (Union Cath.) in the early years of its' existence, and then moved back to L.A. Great to hear her promote our alma mater; When the school began, track was the only sport, and anybody who was anybody competed in it. So great to see it bear fruit so many yrs. later. So thanks to Syd for promoting N. Jersey and UCHS . I will forward this video interview to one of our UC track champions from the 1960s who still runs and lives in Seattle now. My track experience at UC...freshman year 1964...went out for cross country and when I tumbled over a guy I didn't see who was tying his shoe on the track and thereby injured myself...I figured "this track thing isn't for me." But track was just about the only sport at UC in those days, and only for boys....no girls' competitive sports.......the schools were separated / segregated...boys school / girls' school.
Great interview!!! The guys were engaging and asked good questions with sincere interest, and Sydney was poised and eloquent and fun to listen to. She's also very inspiring and encouraging as she talks about herself as an athlete and also a person. I'm praying for her continued success and impact in her personal and professional life 🙏
Great to see this side to her personality. But regarding that indoor 60m, let's not pretend it was anything other than a New Balance commitment to run at that meet, so they chose the event furthest away from her main event she could run, so as to ensure it was basically meaningless. That's it. One race indoors due to sponsor commitments, nothing more.
I'm dreaming of seeing sydney, femke bol, britton wilson & abby stiener going toe to toe at the olympics next year. Buzzing for the 400 hurdles this year to of course but to see those 4 going at it in the flat, that's my dream race ha haa.
It is a pleasure to see how much she has grown and how much she is enjoying herself.

Don't think so because already talking about a daughter, family and god lifestyle. At that time she is already retired and have lots of Kids.
Thinks she competes for another 5 years with 2 Olympics. At 30 or little bit sooner she will retire.

This is a great interview--a free, intelligent, enthusiastic exchange.

I like the way she says, "yeah man". Must be a Jersey thing.

Married life looks good on Sydney.
