IVE NEVER EVER SEEN THAT KIND OF ....MY WORDS AINT BIGGGG ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BIKES IVE EVER SEEN... ARLEN NESS AND FAMILY YOU ARE THE BEST ....IM IN SUCH SHOCK TO SEE TRUE WORK N HAVE BUILD SUCH WONDERS THOSE BIKES ARE JUST AMAZING....MY MAN....!!!
Got to meet Mr Ness at many events over the years. He did not know me from Adam's housecat, but knew I was not a potential customer and always, and I mean always, one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. Custom bikes are not my thing, but his and his son's, you can ride. I respect that.
I knew Arlen back in the San Leandro days when Cory was a little kid. Arlen was a great guy...Always had time to chat, really kool. I still own one of his rare, rubber mounted soft tail frames, (the same frame on his yellow 57 chevyness bike)... Only a few of these frames ever made it into private hands. Sure will mis Arlen.
Had the privilege of meeting Corey at a JP cycles open house like 08 really a nice guy you could just tell this guy had a real knowledge of the The business of motorcycles.I remember I would always grab what ever motorcycle Mag that had Arlen Ness and bike on the cover.
What do you do with these bikes ? My buddy bought a bike built by an famous father and son tv builder. Bought it on an auction for cheap but spent 6 k to make it rideable. Did not resemble the Christmas ornament that was originally built - junk.
While you have to give props for the skill. The bikes for the most part are just nice to look at and not very streetable. And so many of the bikes when seen close up really are not that nice. We went to OCC to check out their bikes. Really disappointing, sloppy welding, many pieces were not a good fit, but stand back another 5 feet and they looked great. I traded my Mustang for a custom chopper, what a mistake. New the bike was 100K. I had it for 4 years and sold it, terrible ride, they take a little getting used to, cornering was always a problem, the bike was almost 9 feet long! So when I see bikes like this, eye candy, DO NOT BUY ONE!
@@Timberwolf69 Did i say they were? NO! Have seen Ness bikes as well. And they still do not make riders. The bikes are eye candy and not for a serious rider. Guys that buy these bikes might do a 50 miler once in a while. Guys I know put on 12-18K a year, these bikes are not for them. And as far as workmanship goes, it is very subjective, if you like their work good for you. To me Jesse J, and the late Indian Larry, And a few others are the true builders, I just do not like any of Ness's bikes.
@@hdvictoryford5329 Okay, I respect your opinion. Who am I to judge? Don't even own a driving license for motorbikes... What bugged me was just that you brought up OCC while commenting a video about Ness bikes. You can't go and look at one builder and lump all the others together. That's not fair.
@@Timberwolf69 Bro- I never lumped them all together. There are many similarities like it or not. And many builders are in it for the money and it shows. It shows in the attention to detail, in how the bike is assembled, paint, design and many other ways. Ness in many ways is no different than others. Each is unique and I owned a big name chopper. After 4 years of ridding it, never again. Time to move on , HAGD.
@@hdvictoryford5329 If you experienced these similarities, that's okay. But if you see one and decide that all the others are about the same, that's lumping them together.
Arlen is an icon, we mourn his passing. This is arguably his wildest creation! Thanks for reminding us👍

and the very end of the video explains why they make bikes you can ride quite succinctly...
Video should be re-titled Corey Ness. It features his builds, not Arlens
i built a bike in my lounge room in the 90's after my wife left me lol
I remember my real dad degreasing a Harley engine in the bathtub
Yea I build a house after my wife left me.

Back in the 80s to early 90s , I had Big Red on my wall , Arlen is an American Legend! RIP Arlen Ness
Great Family Story !
Outstanding and astounding. If I were to buy one it would be the white one with the body panels. I think that looks really cool.
CORRECTION....

I’ve been to that museum/dealership in Dublin and some of the bikes now are dusty and kinda lookin wierd. But not all. A lot are in great condo tho

Thumbnail photo... Finally, a Harley with as much power as a BMW.
Харлей Дэвидсон нервно курит в сторонке🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣(Harley Davidson nervously smokes on the sidelines)

I'm not downing his craftsmanship or his skill..but Ness turned out some of the ugliest bikes I ever saw!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Ness is not the King.... he is one of the best... but not the King
Ness is an institution.
