I simply love your potting bench build! You are awesome for working in over 100 degree heat. It is hard and that's one of the reasons I moved back here to California. Keep posting your fantastic videos.
The price of the wood here where I live is absolutely insane right now. But looking at your design, I feel like with a few adjustments, this looks like it could be done with some wood pallets that my husband sometimes gets for free from his workplace. I will look into that. Awesome build. It looks gorgeous. Im looking to have something like that for my gardening tools and my toddler's tools too, and also for a potting table as this. Your design is gorgeous. If we could just make it work with pallets, that would be absolutely awesome! 😊
Love this, would love if you could show us how to make an outdoor cupboard which is waterproof. So like a tiny bike shed but too small for bikes . I want to make one that's 3.5 ft high and about 5 foot wide but all the plans I see for outside storage are either big sheds or storage boxes with gaps for maybe covered terraces or poolside toys..... also many require expensive jig tools and I'm a complete beginner. I will do this potting table, thank you!!!
You’re welcome! I am so glad you like this project. It is a great beginners project. No plans for bike shed in the near future. I hope you find something that works for you. 🍊
Nice work! How has this held up? Was the finish enough to protect against the elements and any dirt and water that comes with re-potting? Do you recommend the combination You mentioned in the video?
Hey I posted a comment yesterday asking for info on where I can find the framing screws and the comment appears to have been deleted. I just wanted info on where I can order the screws that you used....
Material pricing is different everywhere... but I do have a full materials list in the blog post about this build to help you price it out and make a decision. Link in description.
I found it cheaper to buy (Walmart for $97.99, free shipping) BUT, her build is much sturdier and I would've preferred to build my own. Cost of wood has gone up too much during the pandemic and housing boom, at least in my area. Nonetheless, I LOVE the one I bought.
Sprayers are awesome for larger projects or those with lots of nooks and crannies. And the type of sprayer really depending on what you are spraying on the quality of finish you are looking for. Plus, your budget. 🍊
@@TheAwesomeOrange Just looking for the perfect potting bench and then WOW!!! found this one. Visited your website but couldn't find the complete build plans for it. I found a mention of it but no link. is there a way to be able to get them please? So excited abput this project. Thank you
I love your potting bench and want to build one. I have been unable to find the plans and cut list mentioned in your video and on your website. Can you direct me as to how I could find the plans and cut list. Thanks
Great question! No I did not. The screws are made so you shouldn’t have too. If you are really close to an edge I still sometimes recommend predrilling. 🍊
Good grief! You bought 13 2x4's!?! May I ask how much you paid for each 'cause here in Columbus, Georgia they are $5.82 each! Beautiful potting bench though! Love the accent hardware!
Bar far the nicest potting bench I’ve seen in my search for my own build ideas..
Thank you for the inspiration. Your work looks amazing!!!
Thank you so much! Happy building! 🍊
Fun project. Love your confidence and enthusiasm .
Thank you so much. 🍊

Thank you! I am sure you could modify it to work. Good luck. 🙌🍊
I get used lumber from construction sites, old pallets and regular lumber, enough to make lots of stuff.

How does the bench hold up in the weather outside? My patio leaks. Im hoping if i put a protectant on it, it will hold up.
Awesome video by the way.
Thanks! Mine is still doing good. It is in full sun and no covering. But will probably need maintenance on the top soon. 🍊
Great detail
Thanks! 🍊
Great job! If I made a longer bench would I need to add any extra support?
Depends on how long you made it. But you could do another couple of feet without any problem. 🍊
Nice work! How has this held up? Was the finish enough to protect against the elements and any dirt and water that comes with re-potting? Do you recommend the combination You mentioned in the video?
Thanks! The table has held up well. The finish on the very top table is starting to peel, but I do have the table in direct sun all afternoon. 🍊
Love it
Yay! Thank you so much. I love it too! 😆🍊

Thank you!
Awesome work Sadie Mae! 😃👍🏻🌱🌱🌱🌱👊🏻
Thanks Fred! It’s so nice having it around and not cleaning up all the dirt after repotting. 😆🍊
Great Job
Thank you! It is helping keep my plant messes outdoors! 😆🍊
Love this. Thank you! I want to try it tomorrow!
Awesome! Thank you. I’d love to see a pic when you are done. 🍊
This is awesome, thank you!

Are you using 2x4x8 or 2x4x10?
I believe they were 2x4x8’s, but I have complete build plans on my website with all the details. 🍊
How much did everything cost to build? I’m debating which would be cheaper, build or buy.
Material pricing is different everywhere... but I do have a full materials list in the blog post about this build to help you price it out and make a decision. Link in description.

Another awesome video!!! Keep em coming!!
Thanks Tim! I am hoping to try and do two a month! 🤞🍊
What paint sprayer do you recommend? Are they better than a brush? For most things?
Sprayers are awesome for larger projects or those with lots of nooks and crannies. And the type of sprayer really depending on what you are spraying on the quality of finish you are looking for. Plus, your budget. 🍊
Where can I find the measurements list for the wooden planks? Lovely looking workbench!
